Stephen A. Smith on the Philadelphia 76ers:
“If Embiid is healthy, there’s no excuses. Embiid on one leg averaged 35 against the Knicks on one leg. We know how big-time Embiid is. We know that Tyrese Maxey is special. Brother got a $204 million extension. If Paul George is what Paul George is supposed to be, Maxey, Embiid, and Paul George, as much as I love my Knicks, orange and blue skies, baby. They don’t come before Philly and Boston. We know Boston’s on another level. They the champions. They the reigning defending champions and we’ll see what happens with them, but Embiid with Maxey and Paul George? Yes, I believe in that. That’s big.”
Skip Bayless on Paul George:
“Paul George is just PG, pretty good. He has no killer will. He won't make a big difference in Philadelphia.”

Exactly Hartenstein was the reason why we lost this year. We’re getting murdered on the boards plus now the next just have Robinson who gets overpowered by Embiid and they really have nobody back there that could slow him down.

I’m telling you now. The Hartenstein loss was more detrimental to the Knicks than the Mikal trade was good for them. His rebounds and close shots is what gave us that L in that series. He gave them so many second chance rebounds that lead to 3p shots too. It was deflating to our team. We have Andre Drummond, Caleb Martin and Adem Bona and they are going to have huge impacts on defense and rebounding💯🔔 This is championship year💪🏼

in Game 1, Knicks had 22 offensive rebounds off those bricks. iHart had about 10 of those alone. Yeah, that dude cause several problems and now, Knicks don't have a bona-fide backup Center. That's gonna hurt.

KJ Martin has an 8 million dollar contract now and the Sixers have a bunch of picks. I think Morey would have to bring in a third team who will throw some filler players / salaries to make the money match.... the sixers could throw some picks at that team. The Warriors get KJ and a pick the third team gets a pick or 2 and we get Draymond.

The loss of hartenstein is gonna hurt NY he got them a lot of extra shots n was very reliable in making those little chippies around the basket that often enabled my to keep the sixers constantly at bay during our runs..

The Celtics have chemestry and experience together. You just don't dismisse that and the knicks have a bit of that as well and don't forget the Villanova element. Embeed said it himself " it's gonna take time for them to gel " if the sixers get together like i think they will on some just team film sessions they gonna get there Sooner than later.

Never. I'll never argue one team is better than another based on a single game or series between them, even if it's a sweep. There is no proof of superiority in basketball. Beating a team in a playoff series doesn't prove one team is better than another. The closest we come to legitimate evidence of being "better" lies in looking at regular season records when teams are healthy and composed similarly to their final roster form, because this typically offers a greater sample size and features teams playing a wide variety of opponents. But it's still far from perfect. Saying that the Pacers are better than the Knicks because they beat them in that playoff series would feel odd to most people. Similarly, the Celtics were the NBA champions and had the best overall record by far. Do we state they were worse than the Nuggets because they were swept by them this year? Did the Celtics have to win a game against the Nuggets before we can discuss which of them is better? Clearly not. People are calling Boston the best team.
