Nice video everyone. The chicks are so cute. Thanks for supporting a fellow Iowan. I didn’t even know about the hatchery in Webster city. Murray McMurray until You mentioned them quite a while back. Quite the set up they have. Very tragic about the huge loss they suffered last year. To loose so many birds. What a crock 😢 Btw I saw you guys helped a friend with her garden prep. You North Carolina homesteaders are such good people. Thank you for being a good inspiration to us followers :)

The great thing about the dirt floor you can spread the used wood chips on the floor and that will keep the dust down, well until you decide to put down concrete.

I saw a tip to pinch off the first few strawberry flowers to let the plant put more effort into growing strong before producing strawberries - I did this on my strawberries in the first month before summer started here, and the plants got nice a lush before they produced strawbs!

1) Thanks for going with the chickens you did. 2) I've probably said it before, but your daughter amazes. She's truly a partner on the farm never needing to learn things, she just does them. I see that same trait in mum and dad, too. Smart and capable. Nice combination.

How convenient for us that you just happened to be filming when the Post Office called!🤔🤭 Spring is the absolute best time on the farm!🐣🐤🐖🐖🐖🐖🌱🌱🌄🐦 Jason and Lorraine you are so great! I love how everyone jumps in and gets it done! By chance, do y'all know Jason and Brooke from "Cog Hill Family Farm"? You have quite a bit in common. They're from Alabama. When the temps drop into the teens, you may want to place a prepared board over the top of your brooders with holes only large enough for the lamps. It might make the brooders toasty until spring really comes. DA

Never seen it on your channel but if you like vegetable soup you should try canning your own. I love pulling together the last of everything in the garden to make my soup. Tomatoes, peppers, onions, okra, potatoes, corn, carrots, whatever bean is available. Mix it all together cook it for about half hour then pressure can it. When you open the jars mix in whatever kind of meat you like and it is great. Very fast meal.
