Thanks for the kind review! I am very fond of GEGE, and had their locks in mind while working on these designs. Multipick sells the short, medium, and tall hooks with flat, round, and thin tips, for a total of 9 versions. It was hard to choose which to include with the set, but we could not include all of them. Like you, I prefer the short thin hook to the short flat hook, but after surveying many skilled pickers around the world, the consensus was that the short flat hook was more important, and should be the one included in the basic and intermediate sets.

Are the 2 straight picks intended to be used for tubular locks and such? I have the 0.4mm version of your set and I love it.

The straight probes are multi-purpose tools that can be used for picking, removing c-clips, removing Kwikset bible caps, reprogramming Kwikset Smartkey locks, bypassing padlocks, bypassing or decoding 4 wheel combination locks, counting pin stacks, etc. I use them all the time. A strong force can be applied along the axis of the tool without risk of bending the tool.

The bible is a strange word for the area of the cylinder that contains the pin chambers. In Kwikset and similar clone cylinders, there is a thin spring steel snap on cap that holds the pin stacks in their chambers. A straight probe can be slid under the edge of the snap cap and twisted, popping it off for easy access to the pin stacks without using a plug follower and pin tweezers.
