Micael: When you shoot with a super fast lens, (and the shutter is faster than 1/1500) turn off Electronic Front-Curtain Shutter in the sony menu, because it eats the bokeh balls. This is why you got upper half bokeh balls. If you turn it off the bokeh will be much smoother and the bokeh balls will be round at high shutter speed.

Oh thank you. I had no idea that could mess with the bokeh. I will try it. Makes sense because I had the most problems with the bokeh when it was sunny and bright.

After I occasionally watch your absolutely random video, I'm always left with some irrational feeling that for some reason (and who knows why and how) but everything is going to be alright. I think it's great that you are doing this channel.

I already have a Voigtlander 50 f/1.2 which is great but it I didn't, this would be high on my list. If 7artisans could add electronic contacts so that focus magnifier could be used, that would really help. I have the 7artisans 28mm f/1.1 and this one looks similar: for what you pay, you get a lot!

Congrats on the New Baby! The lens is good value plus fancy packaging. Any lens needs getting used to. Too much choice and not enough time for trials for some of us. 🧐

I’d be surprised if the sharpest aperature was f8 or f11, I thought usually its more in the f/4-f/5.6 range depending on the lens but good to know it is nice and sharp at f8-f11.
