over the weekend the whole 7cities crew went down to obx to fish jennettes pier. after a morning of being taunted by sheephead and black drum my brother, drew, landed a 52 inch 36.1 pound king mackerel! this was his 3rd or so time pin rigging and landed a fish of a lifetime!! #king mackerel #giantfish

Nice! We have a fish with our names on Jennettes and fish there every year when we go down for vacation. We were down there 2 weeks ago and all there was were skate...just a few weeks early

Loved watching that! My best king so far was off of Cape Lookout a couple miles and that one was 34 lbs.. Fight of a lifetime!

I fished Jannettes since the 70's, awesome memories and many fish caught! I never got a king off that pier though. Nice fish!

Good lord that's gotta be hectic, don't do much pier fishing and never hooked up on a kingfish but hopefully when I do there's not 20 people in the way

Congrats! One other thing please mention/credit the 2guys who gaffed the king to land it onto the pier (oh yeah the guy who gave up the bunker too). Great moment captured. I have been days on piers and never seen a king caught. A big Jack Crevelle but, never a king. Thanks for sharing

Thanks man! george and hans were both thanked and given meat off the fish for the gaff. my brother snagged the bunker on his own for his own pin rig George was just helping my brother rig it. No one gave it to him. From catching the bait to fighting it was all my brother. Those guys on the pier are our friends. Forgot to credit them for gaff but all day they were thanked and the past 5 trips since

i got my first king off my local pier this summer. it was 16 pounds and 42 inches. i got another one later in the summer that was 35 pounds
