@@sarahg6551 They do have a little room for discretion, but if she's on the sidelines, she's familiar with the concept of a marching band and it wasn't like they came out of nowhere. She just wasn't thinking far enough ahead...a human mistake, but her reaction wasn't real pro.

@@The_Curious_Cat Actually, that's a fair point. I got mad at that reporter for standing on the procession's way while they were passing. Chances are, she did not know the procession would be passing at that moment, and had she known, she would have chosen an other course of action. Somebody definitely messed up somewhere, but the reporter probably did not have many options other than trying to do her job.
