In general I think Gen6, bigger step forward from the previous Gen then Gen 7 consoles. With exception of the Wii which I think was groundbreaking.

Personally, I would say both. But I have preference for Xbox 360, so I'll say 7th gen. Besides, I replay a lot of xbox/xbox360 games via the backward compatibility of the Xbox Series X! And these games amuse me much more than those of today… I watched all your videos on Xbox and Xbox 360 gems, almost three time, it allowed me to complete my collection, even if some games have become overpriced. Man, the 7th generation basically covers my preteen to high school years (currently 25). Tons of nostalgia and great memories from all of these consoles. I still play with my PSP and DS to this very day

Right. When they pulled out that 2nd gen PS3 model I got all the feels. Crazy to see how good it still holds up. Best looking console of all time in my opinion. That matte finish.

Hope you are healing up well Jason. I already rewatch your videos so often so these compilations just make it so I don't have to click as much. Normally I just loop the pickups with Reggie but I like these compilation videos recently from the Travel Videos, To Kelsey Videos, To Kinsey Videos, and this video. It's pretty amazing to see all this content grouped together and put onto a single video; it made me realize that you've made a ton of videos over all these years. Thanks for sticking to it and making great content.

Like, making videos, not like, "still alive" ...actually, I'm very happy for that too lol. I just wanted to say you brought me through a very disastrous and suicidal time in my life. It’s horrible! I work in retail and we get scum who simply walk in and out with stuff like they own the place. They know the workers can’t do anything. It’s frustrating and it’s even worse when it’s a smaller business since that can put it under.

I have been collecting different gaming systems for over a decade now and have a little over 50 different systems but I will always have a special place in my hart for the Wii. That was the system that brought me back to console gaming. It was such a unique way of playing games. Hours spend on Wii Sports, especially the bowling. Ah good times.

I don’t know if all of them have this feature, but my PS3 super slim is also a region free Blu-ray player. It is one of the few reasons I still have it hooked up as a film collector.

In my head, 'Generation' refers to the actual lineage of the console (for instance, the 360 would be a 2nd Gen Microsoft system as it's the second one they produced). Turns out, it just refers to consoles in general allll the way back to the Intellivision, Colecovision and Atari. I still prefer my way of thinking, but I suppose it's easier to keep track of doing it _their_ way, especially if you're used to it. Really good vid, man! And to answer your question, I was always a Nintendo kid. That's all we ever had in our house, including when I started buying my first consoles. It wasn't until I bought my Game Cube that I also bought a PS2 (mostly because it could play DVDs). Now, however, I'm a PC gamer. I just like the controls better and I'm used to it. As for the better generation, I can't really give a definitive answer as they both have good and bad things. That, and I'm viewing them through some pretty thick Nostalgia Glasses.

Just like the Gradius games, the Parodius games also had a collection on the PSP however you need to import that version from Japan. Parodius is a must for those who love the Gradius games that have a good sense of humor.

I’m from 1980 so I’ve been blessed to see it all in gaming so far and still have and collect a ton I feel that the 3rd to 6th generations are the best in gaming I have all NTSC consoles and enjoy them all but those years were the golden years

I will always remember completing GoW2 on the hardest difficulty with my mate in coop. The 360 struggled with the final cutsceene plus the achievement spam lol.

I remember buying the core XBox 360 and adding a 64mb memory card. It didn’t take too long to realize that memory cards were pretty much a thing of the past at that point. There were launch apps I couldn’t install. It was so long ago I don’t remember but the HDD was necessary and I ended up buying a used one from GameStop before making the jump to the hdmi release.

I obly recently started collecting for the 7th Gen. It’s the only generation that I completely skipped since getting a NES in 1987 because of my WoW addiction. 😂 When I was done with it, I was shocked how many great games I missed out in all these years. Got a PS4 in 2014, Switch in 2015 and PS5 two years ago. Feels great to collect for consoles again after all these years. 😎

I still have the Gen 1 PS3 that works with both PS2 and PS1 games. I try to open it up and clean it periodically, but man it still does get really hot, no matter how well-ventilated I keep it. I love using it to play PS2 games on my modern TV, and I'd do it way more but I always feel like I'm chipping away at its lifeforce every time I do (more so than with other hardware).

It’s a pain to take apart, but clean off your old paste and add some of the good stuff! Just be careful if you have a launch 60GB. There aren’t really many videos (I found 1) showing the process. The later releases changed the design so what you may find may not match what you’re looking at when you open it up. lol My fan stopped kicking on as often when I did that.

If you really want a white Xbox 360, the most reliable model is the one with the Jasper board. It can be identified by the power rating on the back. If it says "12V 12.1A" on it, it will be a Jasper board. My Jasper has been running very stable for years. Sadly there are a lot of consoles out there that already have been opened, "bolt-modded" or f*cked up by previous owners. Untinkered consoles are getting rare. In my opinion, the white model is the sexiest one of them all, I don't like the later revisions.

I have a shotgun controller for PS3, it's called a "Fearmaster". It came with my game called "Cabella's Dangerous Hunts". I do believe this is now a very rare shotgun controller. It's still in its entirety, and still works to perfection! I will never sell it, and if I have to, it won't be cheap!

My brother had that new super bros game, Mario party, and one of the nintendogs games. While I had Mario and Luigi bowsers inside story, Mario kart, Kirby super star ultra, mario and sonic at the olympic winter games, and the simpsons game. All our games were great. My dad used to play Mario kart and new super Mario bros on our DS

The Wii Mini was originally released in Canada but it was not an exclusive it's whole life it was released in the USA I remember selling them at the Best Buy I worked at.

If your looking to get a backwards compatible PS3 try getting one that has had the Frankenstein mod done to it. The Frankenstein mod is where the BC PS3 90nm RSX which is most of the time the main cause of ylod is replaced with a slims 40nm RSX which makes the BC ps3s run as well as the slim PS3. They do cost more then non modified ps3s but if you can get one cheap then definitely buy it because it is worth it

The Wii Mini was not Canada exclusive. We got this Version Here in Germany also available. Just didnt know, that Nintendo didnt Sold this Version in the states

Gotta call you out on the ps move @10:30 , I play that thing to death, the lightgun shooters are incredible, house of the dead 4 ps3 exclusive. overkill, time crisis 4 / razing storm, get into the move before it skyrockets! the camera might be the hard bit to get

That’s cool every PS3 plays PS1 games. It’s really a shame that having the backwards compatibility with PS2 made it too expensive. I don’t blame Sony for stopping it, everyone hated them for it.

Yay Kelsey is back. What console of this Gen is hard. I definitely spent the most time on 360 bc of the Mass Effect Trilogy, Red Dead Redemption, Battlefield and COD. But PS3 had MGS4, The Last of Us and Skyrim. Sooo its hard. Lol
