I am an antique bottle collector, and my favorite part of collecting these old bottles is the old stories that come with them. Join me as we look at the histories of my bottle collection.

RC Cola or NEHI may have been #2 in 1940? My Grandpa kept sodas in a milk cooler in his milk house on the farm in the 1960s. We’d ask and he would tell us to go get one from the milk cooler. The milk cooler was a horizontal cooler and the milk sat in cold water. We’re have to break a 1/8 inch of ice on the top and reach down in the dark water ... our arms felt like needles were pricking our small arms... where we’d see the soda caps. When we pulled out our selection our arm was beet-red and in pain... that’s my memory of summertime on the farm! Mountain Dew, NEHI and 7-UP were some of the selections.

I had a full bottle from the 40s that had lithia in it. I ended up opening it in 2023. Of course I didn't try it, but it was brownish. But that could be due to age. My dad worked for 7up, so we had a ton of that stuff.

Great video on the history of this classic soda!! Thanks for including the early spots [videos] of this product. I, myself, used to work at the local bottler of 7UP in Richmond, Va. in the early 1980's. I miss the early days of these great products!! Thanks for posting this great video!!! Very informative.

I have a 7 Up mirror with an inet thermometer. Nothing about Lithia. It has Sunrise Soda Water Works Co. Ltd. The old 1925 Works still exist on Robello Lane in Honolulu. They started in the 1900s. I found a wagon load of busted Hutchs from them. Later elsewhere on the lot I found a whole one. I have every Hutch I've dug except for 3 or 4 duplicates, Hollister, Dragon & Ewa Bottling Works. I've dug the Bubble girl from Sunrise and a non bubble. Some of these just say "7 Up Bottler" on them. Sunrise is long gone.

I have the ACL version with the woman leaping around bubbles. On the bottom is reads Duraglas. Above duraglas it has a G-34 and below around the mark you pointed out has a 3 to the left a 5 to the right and a 14 at the bottom

Id have to do a little research on the markings, but my guess is that the 34 may be the year on that one. Dont quote me on it though. :)

i seen a couple 7 up bottles with the dancing girl but no orange painted shield, are these older without the orange logo?

Wow never seen anything with Nine Dots being shown. The top of building at 3:24 seems to show nine dots. I have read a marketing gentleman said they need to remove one of the 8 Dots because it is a 7 up.

I have a 7-Up bottle that is embossed U7P on both sides of the neck. It's most likely an early 1940s example. On the bottom it says made by the dr. Pepper Company Atlanta Georgia. Can someone give me a bio on this unusual style to spell Seven Up?
