Yes, this event went much better for me than the last one. The last one we got rain just before the event, so it was very muddy almost everywhere. This one just had some areas that were slick, but overaqll traction was very good. This one had a lot of fast rocky sections, so tires that were resistant to flats were a very good idea. I have no idea why they call it Whiskey River. That ditch that I rode up to and turned around with all those people around it was the alternate line creek jump. I did not really intend to go that way, I just missed the bypass. I never think that having a jump that I have never seen before and that I cannot roll over it a couple times first is a good idea for me. My motorcycle is set up very soft to absorb all the small rocks, roots and dips. So I do not want to take a chance on getting hurt on a big blind jump. That pile of people on lap 2 was because of a slick rocky hillclimb that racers were stuck on. The first lap it was clear and I went right up it, on lap 2 racers were stuck blocking the hill, so I took that alternate line to the left to get up it. Thank you, I also think the GPS map is a nice addition to the video. No, I could not have made a 5th lap. Once the checkered flag is out, the race is over. These races are timed events, so you make as many laps as you can in the time given. They say it is 1.5 hours, but that is based off the overall winner and when they finish a lap. Then everyone else has to finish the lap they are on. Most people are on the course for 1.5 to 2 hours. I was so tired after this race, there is no way I wanted to make another lap! LOL Besides, I also did not have enough battery to make another lap. My Stark Varg estimated delivery is 1/31/2023. I hope to get it by then, but I am expecting it very well could be delayed. I am really looking forward to trying it out, having extra battery life, more power and better suspension. Regenerative braking will also be great to have!
