OK I looked at the lyrics and I think the room of strange cillians are in another dimension where time (the clock) doesn't exist, they are all from different times such as the dark ages or cavemen. and the song is saying that we live our live around "the clock" meaning time is always on our mind and we are generic people that go to work by the clock and eat by the clock and sleep by the clock ect. I think the way cillian throws the mask and stuff means he's sick of being ruled by the clock. THATS WHAT I THINK I'm probably a bit incorrect but nobody else said anything so... confused people there you go.

I have heard that Cillian is a fan of Buster Keaton. He has shown his own abilities for physical comedy plus he has collaborated with musicians in the past. Great song. Good for Cillian and Paul Hartnoll. Great video!

Came here for Cillian Murphy, and was pleasantly surprised by a well directed music video accompanied by a great song. I don’t think most of the people in the comments grasped the meaning behind the lyrics and the video, and just view it as ridiculous. It’s clearly about escaping time restraints of daily life and finally becoming free by removing a mask and dressing up to escape ones reality. From what I’ve seen in the comments most people are way too fucking stupid to get that, and can’t appreciate subtlety in story telling. Which is too bad because this deserves more props, and Cillian Murphy made a great decision collaborating on such a unique project.

I don't think it's that people do not appreciate the art or the meaning behind this video. I completely understood. But I also laughed at the absurdity. I think because this is so unlike ANY role I've seen Cillian portray (especially if you think of Tommy Shelby in Peaky Blinders), that it's a bit of a shock. It's not bad. But it is funny.

I love this guy because he's willing to do just about anything. Anything that has to do with being not who he really is, which is acting, right? The only thing I can't see him doing is anything actually harmful. Acting is whatever you make it and he seems to have an insatiable hunger to try almost anything.
