I’ve found if you focus imagining hitting on the 15 ball ( in the configuration ) or the 14 ( if you’re shooting from the right side ) FULL IN THE FACE as a point of reference you will get a more solid hit on the second ball. Using draw and hitting harder than normal you’ll get the 8 in 20% of the time and a ball pocketed with a good spread 95+% of the time. If you find the cue ball scratching in the corner you’ve actually hit Too Soft. Hope that helps. Also, it might help to have a top view camera angle for clips like this.

The white ball is gonna basically go where it wants and you can't stop it LoL. Shit just bouncing around everywhere. You're shooting it at a blob of like 40 balls so yea. If I'm shooting at some niggas then some gonna get hit Like that aint skill

I don't know if it works on all table lengths but when I do a head ball "pop" break (8 foot table) with the cue ball at one diamond from the long rail and one and a half diamonds from the short rail, I have made the 8 ball in the back corner pocket of whichever side I'm breaking from several times.
@georgeresburg58092 жыл бұрын
I shoot from the left with stick where the pocket meets the felt on the bumper. Top right on the cue ball to the right of the 1 ball. This spreads the rack leaving the 8 ball open to contact. Cue ball bounces off the right cushion, makes direct contact with ther 8 ball sending all over the place. If you can make it move. You can make it drop! It also spreads balls all over the place for the 8 ball run!

In rotation it's the 15 ball in the middle. But we gotta hit the 1 ball in front. Can you teach how to make the 15 ball while hitting the 1 ball in front? Only if you can. Thanks.

I once made the 8 ball on break by shooting with a slight topspin, CB on the head string and about two thirds of a diamond on the right (I didn't scratch and the eight ball went in the right corner pocket).
@LearnBilliards5 жыл бұрын
Yes, that is very possible as well. It does tend to head to the corner pocket.
@markostipcevic5 жыл бұрын
@@LearnBilliards I think this is a pretty good technique because you wont scratch easily, the 8 ball will often head towards the corner pocket and you won't miscue easily because you don't have to put much spin on the CB. The only problem with trying to pot the 8 ball is that if you don't shoot hard enough the 8 ball will stay close to the pocket or even become a hanger which is bad because it can easily accidentally be pocketed.

I use a similar break from the left side of the table but with half a cue tip of center-right. Whenever I use a bit of bottom right (as depicted in the video), I feel like I give up on impact speed, plus I risk the cue ball flying off of the table after it hits the side rail. No, I do not get 8 ball breaks as often as you do, but I get them often enough, and when I do get them, they are generally in that same side pocket. My strongest issue with this break is the dry breaks. I certainly don't have that high of a chance of making a ball on the break, as you've quoted. Plus, a dry break done in this fashion leaves the balls so spread out, my opponent has an easier chance to run out or set up for easier defenses behind his/her clusters later during the game.

I’ve made 8 ball using this method many times. I use about 7 oclock on qball. The difference in your shot is that 8 started moving before q ball came back to hit it after rail.

I usually hit between the 2nd & 3rd ball and it works almost every time. I did it 3 times in a row the first time I even tried. I ran your slow-mo section frame by frame and it's quite obvious the cue DID hit the 1 first! The 1 was already moving to the right before the cue hit the 2.

This will make the 8 ball move more than hitting the first ball, but as for making it consistently, that's a joke. I have had dozens of "experts" say they can make the 8 at will. I challenged them all to the same bet, $20 per rack, you make the 8 you win, you do not make the 8 I win, and you have to break at least 11 racks so there is no chance to push the 8 on the first break and walk with my $20. If you can do it every time at will that's an easy $220.00 but there has only been 3 take the bet, I came out way ahead every time, lost on maybe 3 racks from the 33 played, easy money.
@procrastinator69022 ай бұрын
Of course it's not a guaranteed thing, nothing really is on a break even tho some ball movements and reactions are predictable. There's no way to predict what any ball will do every time on the break but this does give a good chance for pocketing the 8.

Perry Lankford No kidding! I have never heard anyone call a pocket on the break, if you make a ball on the break, you continue, if you make the 8 you win. It's not rocket science, after the break most games require you to call the ball and pocket(after the break).
