I would use cream cheese instead of cottage cheese. It bakes better and has a better texture, in my opinion.

Cream cheese is just going to melt and run all over. Ricotta is your next best option if you dislike the texture of cottage cheese, and I agree. Not a fan of cottage cheese for this application.

@@jill7759Actually, I just made some puff pastry individual pastries yesterday. I used cream cheese. It didn't melt and run all over. It never does, in my experience. They were delicious, by the way.

Delicate fruits like strawberries, rasberries... have to be set at the end (and not in the oven)

Wish we could see end results after each bake! Wouldn't raw apples leave too much moisture in the pastry?

Yes. Sauté the apples with sugar and spices, a little lemon juice, toss with a little flour and butter. Fork tender. Then bake inside the pastry. Poke holes in the pastry. 😉👍🏼

@@crazycatlady4551 We are 1/2 way the World apart, that is why. And I just bought her the1st oven she ever had last year. She is age 50 and never had or used a oven before in her lifetime, now she has become a baking queen extraordinaire. So as the expert cook that I am, I digress to her nature.....and yes sent her the link. She has become a better baker than me in 6-months than what took me years to learn, so Bravo for her.
