Improving your Discord experience is really easy. Using BetterDiscord and some hand-picked plugins, you can improve your quality of life on Discord to at least have something in your life that isn't morbid and sad. To highlight the convenience of these plugins, take a peek at ChannelTabs. It single handedly improved my Discord experience. That's what I hope discord does. They can totally negate the dangers of BetterDiscord by just taking the feature ideas and implementing them into the main program.

split messages can be abused to spam, so maybe it can be a server setting to avoid that or a role permission

I hate that Discord hates that we use mods to customize our experience. And they made you have to pay money for Nitro to get a banner and the Classic Nitro gets nothing

Well Better Discord is against TOS because not every third party plugin is safe. Better Discord has the power to basically hack millions of Discord accounts which they are most likely not gonna do of course but Better Discord is one of thousands of Discord plugins and there is no way in telling if a plugin is safe or not so it is prohibited for user security safety, oh and also discord does not actually ban people you can in fact send a picture on twitter to discord and flex your better discord and nothing would happen. But anyways it would be nice if they introduce a verify system just like they have with discord bots.

Just a tip, but there are two plugins called theme repo and plugin repo which pretty much just lets you download plugins or theme straight from discord, and it automatically sends it to your folder.

It's not that they don't which is why most people dont get banned using it, it's that they are trying to protect themselves if people try and use it for bad like, password loggers and other assortments that would be highly illegal and cause issues with users, not to mention if they were to "allow" this most people who are not tech savvy would end up in bad situations if they downloaded the wrong script. I understand why they don't allow it to be honest.

@@TheJuicer97 While I agree with you and I also understand why they don't allow it, I feel like it should ideally fall under a "If a user downloads a script, then what happens as a result is entirely the user's own doing" clause. If Discord could find a way to abundantly make it clear that they aren't responsible for any scripts, then users should have free reign. Every piece of software is getting modded these days, so official support would make things safer, at least. An official platform for users to download from, and to upload scanned plugins, and such. Official support could potentially make it easier to ban users who intentionally use malicious plugins such as password-loggers and self-bots, too. But then again, I don't know law or software maintenance, so maybe a written clause saying that Discord isn't responsible might just not be enough protection for them. I can only be optimistic.

i almost installed entire repo of plugins also you could include pluginrepo and themerepo, they're installing plugins and themes without leaving discord, and they have auto update feature

I like to use the web version since it's literally just a Electron app that in itself is just Chromium, could better discord be ported as a browser plugin? should be pretty easy I think since it's the same pretty much.

That's not possible, as the Desktop app adds files to your computer that can be modified, whereas the web versions only add cookies and they can't be changed to make anything on this scale works. The web code is hosted in a server that you connect to, and it isn't possible to modify the server unless you hack them, and that's a big no-no. So, as sad as it may be, it's impossible. (Sorry for the late replay)

the web version and the desktop version are very different and will require building an entirely different betterdiscord solely for the web version, on top of this the plugins would also need to be built for web version as well

As quoted directly from the Official BetterDiscord Server : Q10: Do you have a message logger/logging plugin? A: No. We don't support any such plugin. These plugins not only violate user privacy, but they violate Discord's privacy policy as well as Discord's Application/API terms which can result in account suspension.

Better discord is a modded client, which is against discords tos. You can a discord server for anything you want, and discord won’t not verify your server as long as it’s not illegal (breaking discords TOS isn’t illegal 😮)
