Mt. Mayon's name came from a name "Daragang Magayon" if I'm not mistaken it's from a Philippine folklore. They said her beauty is perfect and she has many suitors but no one caught her attention. Daragang Magayon died together with the man that she's supposed to marry beacuse one of her suitor (I forgot his name) tried to force her to marry him instead while his groom-to-be is away to fetch his clan for the "pamamanhikan" (it's a Filipino tradition where both lovers kind of introduce their family to each other and discuss the wedding) They buried them together and the mountain grew from their graves. I think her lover's/husband's name is "Ulap" (🤷) which means CLOUD in English. Just kindly correct me if I am wrong.

Filipinos even though some of them are poor. But the spirit of the Filipinos are always JOLLY SMILING AND MOST OF ALL VERY FRIENDLY AND WELCOMING TO FOREIGNERS.

(Short true story from Cebu City) I'm from Philippines. When I was 12 years of age, I ran away from home, I wandered all over the city in one night, one random stranger noticed I was sitting on the sidewalk slightly crying. He asked if I was okay, I didn't say anything much. He then asked me to come home with him, he then introduced me to his sister and the rest of the family. This family handed me fresh clothes and warm food. Even though I was only with them for 2-3 days til I was found, I never had the chance to thank them. The kids suffer terrible from no food , they eat very little and yet the are happy and give you hugs 🤗🤗, it's very heart breaking for those children, I send money western Union to two families and they video live watching them buy food , the children run around like a kid in a candy store..The best warming ,loving, caring thing you can do is see the smile and tears on there faces because they have food to eat..
