But how do you figure out the rate at which delta changes? These where gamma comes in, it helps you figure out the change in delta for a given change in the underlying.

If the strike price is near spot price then the option is classified as ATM. In this case strike price = spot price. So it will obviously be ATM. I suggest you go through the Moneyness Chapter in Options in varsity. It will explain you in detail.
