Pawleys Plantation is one of the most played golf courses in Myrtle Beach and it is also one of the most difficult! So what can an average golfer shoot from the tips at Pawleys Plantation

Great video. I love playing this course. It is such a beautiful layout. Not a bad score playing from that distance. Those two par 3s are special.

Haha we got lost because our apps hadn't updated for the changes on the holes so we definitely would play the course WAY different now knowing where some of the changes have happened

Yeah one of the holes on the back that had all the bunkers taken out we all hit irons and realized we all could have hit at least 3 wood without the bunkers there anymore lol

thanks for playimg pawleys. first time ive seen this course on you tube. one of my favs in m.b. but it ate my lunch. on the back nine 40 m.p.h. winds and raining sideways. thanks

We actually didn't know they made such radical changes, all of our apps were NOT updated and we were like "wait, where's the GIANT bunker???" lol

Played there summer of 2022. Shot a 84. One of nicest,but toughest courses I have ever played. That’s including Sawgrass. I almost had a hole in one on the 13th hole. 2 inches from the hole. #9 is a dumb hole with that big tree right in the middle of the fairway though. Another hard but great course you need to play is Caledonia. I live in Greer,SC so I have almost played them all in MB over 30+ years

Nice golf. If that is average golf, I am way down the line, just above a beginner. Tip of the day: practice putting, not on just carpet, but slightly sculptured carpet. I came out of winter dropping some unbelievable putts. Now, which radio station did you work for? Your voice over sounds like you where on the air at one time.

I was just at Myrtle Beach before Christmas and I've played a ton of courses in the area. Never played at Pawleys Plantation, but that course will definitely be on my radar when I head down next time! Playing any other courses while you are down there this time?

I played World Tour a while ago and it was one of the coolest courses I've ever played at! TPC Myrtle will also have to be on my radar at some point. When you head down next time, try to play Rivers Edge Golf Club, which is an Arnold Palmer designed course and another really cool course I played earlier in November.

IMO Handicap vs tees selection is an out of date way of thinking. Should be based on distance and yardage. One of the guys on the trip is scratch and said the same thing. Judge off driver and 7 iron distances. A 270+ driver and a 170+ 7 iron should be playing between 6800-7200 which all of us were. Distance wasn't an issue for any of us on the course, you can duff chips playing off the red tees just as much as you do from the tips

Your a great golfer but definitely no a hdc 8. You called good alot and didn't even finish the hole. The hole is finished when your ball drops in the hole. Not when you call it good and pick it up.

Wild concept: when you're on a guys trip playing with friends, people say "that's good" every once in awhile. Also wild: when you submit your scores to the USGA it calculates a handicap. I have no shame about my golf game, the channel is LITERALLY called perfectly average lol I have no qualms putting up rounds in the high 80s and 90s; there's plenty of them up on the channel.

#2 he goes left off the tee, 2nd chips out, 3rd is left of the green, 4th chips on with 2 putts and he marks a bogey = CHEATER!!!

You haven’t moved much with respect to subscribers, likes, and views. I like watching but it’s only because you play Carolinas courses. I would rethink your entire concept of the content. A start would be play wider, friendlier courses, cheat like Good Good Golf, and collaborate with established channels.

Eh the channel is more for me than anything else. The biggest miss I have is not posting to social media and doing short form content, but flat out I just don't have the time to edit 1 round 3 different ways.
