Hey friends, welcome to a productive day in my life! In this med school vlog / med student vlog, I take you through an 8 hour study day before I start my 2nd year of medical school. I talk through my approaches to study, the importance of scoping out your course, and some of the resources I use. Enjoy the vlog :)

That is such a beautiful library. Really love how your school gives you all the information and slides online prior to lectures. 3rd yr med student here from the Philippines. Its really low tech and very old school here with classes running 7am -6pm mondays to fridays with daily exams.

You do exactly what I did in the library! lol. I need different locations and views if I am there a while. Also, usually when I would first enter the library - I would walk around several floors until I found the "best" spot. lol

Sebastian, sorry about the question but I did not quite understand your note-taking methods. While you're reading a material you write the important bits on your ipad, right? But do you also do it on your laptop using notion? Note-taking has always been a huge question mark to me since I've started to optimize my study methods. Thanks!!

My note taking varies a ton, but in general, when I'm first learning a concept, I'll read the text and write down anything I find important on my iPad. At the same time, I'll have notion open on my laptop to create questions for myself to try answer in future revision sessions. Hope that clarifies things, and good luck with your studies 😊

Hey man really nice video. I am a med student myself and I gotta say maybe try to spend less time writing, drawing and stuff. That‘s just time you spent without really effectively learning. Tried to do this at the start of my university career and nowadays I just read everything out loud to myself ;) Best wishes from a fellow companion.

Thanks for the tips! I do speed through things quicker when the workload ramps up, but as a visual learner, I find drawing out the pathways helps me when looking at a topic for the first time. Definitely agree with reading out loud :) All the best with med school!

In my country if you wanna go to the best university you have to study at least 10 hours a day (real time ) and at last 18 hours a day in the 3 years at high school to pass the entrance exam..... (my country : Iran ):

Hi! I think if I had to decide between a laptop and a tablet, I'd go the laptop. It's more powerful and versatile in regards to the work you can do on it, so in your case I'd suggest the Macbook. Planning to talk more on this topic in a future video! All the best with your studies :)

Med school definitely gets tough, I found that forming a network of friends to hold each other accountable is a good way to keep focused and motivated. Keep at it, and good luck with your studies :)

This library isn't on campus, but there are plenty of nice ones to go to! I really like the Law library if you can find a spot. Have fun with your course this year :)
