Gentle Cocoa Butter Fast & Easy Liquid Soap
Part One: Liquid Soap Paste (www.ultimatehpsoap.com)
This is part one of the UG2HP HTLS (High Temperature Liquid Soap) making process (full video with instructions will be posted soon). It provides you with an example of how UG2HP readers can use the knowledge and education learned from reading The Ultimate Guide to Hot Process Soap to quickly and efficiently create a beautiful liquid soap paste. Our Gentle Cocoa Butter Recipe creates a very bubbly, but skin smoothing and softening recipe. This recipe is perfect for hand soap or for body wash. If left unscented, it will have maintain a sweet cocoa butter smell.
The education and experience gained from reading the Ultimate Guide to Hot Process Soap can be applied to all different types of soap making, including Cold Process, Transparent and Liquid Soap Making. In UG2HP, we explore the effects of thermodynamics and mechanical mixing on the saponification process and can apply these principles, in addition to the principles learned about the chemistry of soap making, to quickly and efficiently create a beautiful liquid soap.
Use the our UG2HP HTLS process to create ready-for-use liquid soap in as little as an hour! This is compared to other recipes which can take 10-16 hours for just one batch!
Recipe: You can use LTHP or HTHP, depending on your skill level, education and preference. For those who want to use HTHP to make a liquid soap paste, it can easily be done and you can create beautiful, pH safe soap paste in less than 10 minutes from start to finish. Use high heat for a rapid dilution process. The full recipe can be found at www.ultimatehpsoap.com/blog/c...

Liquid soap making is a 2-part process. First, a soap base/paste must be made which does appear to be more solid (although its really a mixture of soap molecules, glycerin and water). Then, it is added to more water in a process called dilution. Read the video comment for more information!

Great video, can you tell me the power of the motor in your stick blender and have you burnt many out doing HTHP method. I'm keen to use this method but am not sure my stick mixer would do the job. Thank you 😊

We use the All-Clad immersion blender which I believe has either a 600 or 800-watt motor. It is a non-commercial blender but easily mixes for 10-15 minutes without issue. You can also look for commercial models that are used for restaurant-style purposes that will last longer than the 1-2 minutes most household models offer. We use the All-Clad in all of our videos, as well as in our classes, and highly recommend it to all our students! -Ashley @ UG2SOAP

It is a process we called HTLS or High Temperature Liquid Soap. This particular recipe makes a soap paste and the dilutes the recipe after the cook. There is more information in the video comment. The properties of oils aren't destroyed by saponification, but rather create sodium or potassium soaps with different properties based on their fatty acids. The fatty acids are what determine the soap's properties- how hard, soft, bubbly, creamy, conditioning, etc. For more information about this and other topics, check out The Ultimate Guide to Hot Process Soap

@THEULTIMATEGUIDETOSOAP 5 жыл бұрын
@@kuzhal1411 You can add liquid soap additives like colorants or fragrances after the dilution process. If you add a superfat over 1-3% it will create two layers (soap and oil) because oil is hydrophobic

@@kuzhal1411 I personally don't recommend adding milk or puree after the cook with liquid soap. Because there is a large amount of water in liquid soap, it is susceptible to microbial growth. By adding milk or purees, you significantly increase the risk of microbes like bacteria, mold, and yeast. Also, I have lots of videos but it just requires the time to upload them! Keep checking back!

You can purchase affordable and quality gloves from any grocery store, soap supply company or even the dollar store. I prefer the use of thicker gloves because they are more heat-tolerant and I primarily use hot process methods.

A little note: if these videos are complementary to your written work and rest of the info - well, the complete one, I went to the blog post and read it - only available with purchase, it's better to either keep it private to give link to your customers or move it to a website with access to members only. For marketing purposes, it's best to make a short video promoting your book. This way we lose interest in purchasing.

First, the video tutorial, recipe, and educational information that corresponds to this video- are all free and easily accessible to anyone who has the internet. The information is not limited to those who purchase the book, otherwise it would not be shared on the public page. If you do not have experience with liquid soap making, it is advisable to invest in your education further prior to making the recipe, as with any other video that is shared. This is especially important when making soap at home, which uses high temperatures and hazardous chemicals, both for personal safety and the safety of others around you. Second, if you do not wish to purchase the book, that is certainly your decision and you do not need to post it on our public forum as a means to discredit our time, hard work, and dedication to sharing and teaching. While we respect all opinions and appreciate feedback, your comment was not only inaccurate, but it also shares misinformation.

@@laurahalfmylifeisover4520 So what is wrong about that. Do you want her to give information away for free without getting anything for her effort. This woman is amazing and the information in her book is worth more than $1000. The problem with most people is that they are addicted to crappy free soapmaking videos and forums and don't want to spend a dime on quality soap making education. She is the best soapmaker in the world and the price of her book is more like a free gift to the world. She is an amazing woman, brilliant and intelligent. I really love her teaching style. I bought all her Soapmaking books and they are the best ever. She opened my eyes to so many Soapmaking Tips and Tricks and Soap Chemistry. God bless her for the good work. I'm a trained Cosmetic Chemist and now a proud Soap Chemist courtesy of this Amazing super woman.

@@laurahalfmylifeisover4520 the book is over 550 pages and has the most comprehensive chemistry explanation of soapmaking that I've found. There are two other books just as good. All well worth the money. There are specials sometimes that also drops the cost. If you're a serious soapmaker, it's an excellent investment. They have some free content but there is no reason for them to put ALL their hard work out there for free.
