Lisa Burner I know! My doctor told me I go go back to working out without any restrictions at my postpartum appointment after a c section! Imagine all the damage that would have done? 😱 Thank God I decided to search up postpartum workout videos and came across this one I’m down to a one finger gap

Definitely give this a try it really works! I had a four finger separation and i am now down to a two finger gap. I accomplished this by doing the exercise everyday for two weeks straight and did ten sets of each exercise. It actually works! And the best part is it only takes 5-7 mins each day. I've been to the doctor for 24yrs after my first c section. They said my stomach was normal it bounce back , well it never did. I gained 45lbs. I had stretch marks everywhere. I had three additional c sections which if course did bit help but the damage was already done. I thank you ladies for the info and videos they have really been a help to me. This along with the other self diagnosis I've been doing, I am finally seeing results. I have consistently went to the doctor, many doctors, many x Ray's. Many prescriptions that I did not take because I knew those we're not even my symptoms and I was right to listen to myself I just needed steering in the right direction. I literally have looked pregnant for 24 years. Today is a new day, with the H pylori, ptorudi g stomah, and Diastasis, along with food allergies I am miraclously on fast track to looking like a normal woman again. Again thank you so much.

Just 2 days of doing this already showed a visible difference. Also stopped feeling like I had to hold my abdomen in place. Btw, my baby's already 2yrs and 4mos when I started. Great stuff!

This works! I had 2 fingers of separation...Saw results within a couple of weeks and my abs were mostly healed/ completely closed within a month!

SYLWIA NURCZYK just did this once a day 😊 it also helped to focus on pulling my abs in whenever I lifted anything (like my baby)! 😊

I had a 3 finger separation that I thought I was stuck with after my second baby but I have been incorporating these exercises into my daily work out at the gym and I am now down to 1 1/2 finger separation 5 months in. I am so grateful. I love the way Amy describes what you should be feeling, doing, not feeling and not doing - in all her workouts! Big fan.

This exercises really do work, I did them for two weeks consistently and the terrible hip pain i had is all gone, mind you it was at around 6months after I had my baby.

Thanks so much. I’m almost weeks postpartum with baby #3. My boy was nearly 9 lbs and I really noticed how much my stomach was stretched out. I did the test and I for sure have this issue. It’s hard to start back slow but I’m thankful for workouts like this to strengthen my core. I notice that my core is very weak.

This works!!!! I promise! I have just had my third child two weeks ago. Ive had Diastasis Recti since my first born (who is now 7). Nothing worked for me as I was doing crunches and sit ups which you're not supposed to do (I didnt know) Since my first born, I could literally fit 4 fingers into my stomach while doing the diastasis recti test. Ive only done these exercises for a week and a half and now I am one finger in. : )

Also, what helped me out, too, is this post partum girdle called Bellefit. Look up the girdle on their website bellefit.com. It is unlike the usual girdles women wear after pregnancy. It works wonders!!! It is made for all forms of post partum, i.e. c-sections, diastasis recti, or even if you just wanna slim down faster. I've only worn it for a week and a half and do not appear to have a belly anymore. Go to their website and look at the reviews. They have videos of before and after pics. It is absolutely what they say it is. I think this girdle helped to speed up my diastasis recti recovery as well.

I noticed a hump in the center of my abdomen about 6 months ago and when I saw my doc a few days ago I asked if I could jump up into the exam bed and have her look at it. Yep, it was diastasis recti. This video may come in handy. Thank you!

In my search for finding a cure for my progressive low back/pelvis pain (progressing for the last 8 years pp child #2), I finally decided to try therapy, chiropractors, even epidural steroid injections and medical branch block trials. But, after watching your video, I realize the exercises I was recently given by the therapist are the same as yours! What kills me is that not one pp doctor, general md, osteopathic doctor or therapist ever mentioned that I have diastasis recti and that is probably where my progressive back/pelvis pain stems from (and my herniated navel...probably also caused by the diastasis recti!). But Thanks to your marvelous video, I am finally able to connect all the years of dots! I am now convinced that my problems resulted pp from acquiring diastsis recti and ignorantly, not realizing that I needed to fix it! I hope that other women and men can find your video, hear of my experience and receive the real help they need. THANK YOU!!!

making this comment so I can update on progress! Currently my baby is 16 months old. I have 2.5 fingertip separation and this is the first time of hearing anything about this and trying to heal it. I will update when I notice less separation ❤ for all the mommas wondering how long/often.

If I've been doing all the no-no exercises like planks and v-ups, is this going to make it harder to heal the diastasis recti? (My youngest is 5 and this is the first time I ever checked for this condition)

Hi, so I tried this routine for the first time today and thirty minutes after finishing I could feel the muscles under my lower ribs "working". I think that means I was doing the exercises correctly. Am I right?

Hi there! First off, I want to thank you for your workouts! I regularly have been doing them for over a year now, and now that I have a baby I am was so glad to see you have a workout for DR! I would like to ask if you would be willing to possibly add a full body dumbell workout and maybe a cardio workout that cater to those with diastasis recti though? I already have been doing your dumbell workout, but I have to skip the last 10 minutes of it, since it focuses on abs. The same goes for most cardio workouts I've found on youtube, they put ab work in, so I end up having to skip some of the routine. I think there is a large group of women out there that would be looking for the same type of workout videos that cater to DR! And if you make the videos I will certainly share them!! Thanks again for rocking it!

I thought as I was doing this. Yea this feels like nothing this is not working for me. Or that I wasn't doing it right. But nope. I definitely feel the burn now. Today is my first day doing this. I had an 11lb baby and I had a 12lb baby. I have a 4 finger gap. Should I do this everyday? Every other day?

So I’m adding this to my fitness routine 3x a day. My separation is really big. I think 4-5 fingers. Baby number 3 was born last year. I’ve tried many of these types of exercises and this is the only one where they actually felt activated last night. I’m also doing spin bike exercises, and eating better.

I got this diastisis recti 8 years after having my second child. I thought I had a hernia but my doctor told me this was it. I was not told about these exercises which I’m hoping it’s not too late for me to do to close this up. They would say surgery could fix it. It doesn’t bother me, it bothers me that I’ve been working out to get rid of this belly and all this time I have to fix it with these exercises first then work out with strength exercises. I’m not sure how long now this will take to close up with these exercises but I’m will to challenge myself. Thank you again and hope I see results within a month.

I'm 15w postnatal after 3rd baby (but 1st c section). Had a lingering 2 finger gap since my 1st birth 7yrs ago. I started this quick exercise every night for past 2w and the gap has already gone down to 1 finger wide! So impressed and looking forward to following more of your exercises once I've got this under control! Slowly getting myself back to a decent level of fitness!

Hi Amy, am 9 months post partum with my 2nd child and recently discovered I have about 3-4 fingers wide gap.my questions is would you advise i loose the weight ( abt 15 pounds) before working on healing my gap and what exercises would be safe and effective for loosing weight without worsening my gap

I'm gonna start this right now. It's been 1 year 2 months since I had baby #2 and my belly has not gone down. I workout 6x a week. I do strength training. This whole time I had a "feeling" I have diastasis recti but I never brought it up. I have a check up next week so I'll find out then. I've always been thin so after having baby #1 I had no issues. With my second it was a different story lol. Hopefully this is the case and I can fix it!

Well guys ive been doing these its my second time doing them .. i do them everyother day i have 1 finger separation and i give one day of rest and so far that 1 finger separation has gotten smaller to half a finger separation.. so hopefully soon i see results and am able to close it all the way ..

Guys update my diastasis of half a finger after the 5 time doing these with one day of break in between has closed !!! I didnt think it was possible but holly molly i am so surprised it works! And i am also very happy that its closed .. initially before having a 1 finger diastasis i had a finger and a half and would do other diastasis excersises but they would never make it smalle until i found this video ! All other exercises made my diastasis only bigger :/ so this is the only video where i saw results.

yesssss, it works!! Thank you for sharing this. I've been doing this for 5 days now, and I had 3 fingers gap. Now I'm down to 1 finger and a half!! yeeee! I looked like I was 5 months pregnant, and I was having lower back pain too. Now the pain is gone, and my belly looks 80 percent normal. I think 1 or 2 more weeks and my belly should go back to looking good again

Call me silly but I'm just doing this because I went from really skinny to pot belly within a really short space of time and now when anyone says make sure your engaging your core in exercises, I can't feel it and I struggle to pull my belly in-therefore when I abs exercise I can rarely feel it in my abs. So I'm going to try out a few of these find of exercises for a while. Thanks!

How soon can I start doing these exercises? I have an unhealed diastasis after my first baby (have been doing loads of crunches, spice and everything nice) and I’m about to give birth to my second one, C-section. I want to start as soon as possible, but I read everywhere about letting the uterus shrink back first and the muscles come back to their original size (under the action of relaxin etc). The workout where you push your hands onto your thighs and lift shoulder blades..are you lifting your neck/head or just head and shoulder blades? Making sure I am doing it correctly

2 Questions- Will this work 4 years postpartum? Do I need to heal my DR first before doing anything else like running or workout videos? Thank you. I'm desperate for help. I have a 1 1/2 inch gap 4 years after my 4th child. Seems like the more I have been working out lately the bigger my pouch gets b/c I haven't completely healed my DR.

Is this the same thing as the Tupler Technique? My Dr. told my wife to try the Tupler technique to help her ab separation after 2 c-sections.

It's been 2 /12 years since my last pregnancy. Both pregnancies had a c-section (first one after active labor 4 1/2 years ago). Would this work for me even now? I have to admit, I have been bad at core exercises, and don't really like the standard exercises at all. Also how often do I need to do this to see results within a couple months?

I have a 4.5 finger gap that is very deep. I am glad I found this I have 4 kids three of those where 9# or a little over. Time to get busy for sure

I got out of the bed and notice that I had a lump in my stomach, recently gained some weight and I think that is the cause, it kinda freaked me out, I'm a man I never had a big belly in my life, but as soon as I hit 40 years old here it is,, I guess that's life, but I'm gonna get back to my self as soon as possible.Thanks for the video....

David Leonard weight gain or heavy lifting can definitely cause this in men. It happened to me. Same suggestion for us: avoid crunches, push ups, planks situps....do these instead for at least 6 months, and lose weight. I dont lift both legs at once...not good
