In this video, I share my honest unbiased opinion of Apostrophe's online dermatology service and their tretinoin compound cream, as well as 8 months of progress photos from before I started until today. All products mentioned were purchased by me with my own money. I am not a doctor and this video is not medical advice, just sharing what I am using and what is working for me.

Great video! I have had adult acne for years and was previously on accutane (twice) but it returned both times. I later found out I had PCOS and that was the cause of my hormonal acne. You might have already ruled that out but just incase, it’s something to look into.

Good overview! I am going through a similar situation. Hormonal acne is flaring up 6 months after coming off oral BC. I had virtual dermatology appointment, and she prescribed Aczone and oral Spironolactone. Unfortunately, aczone is not covered by insurance and is 💲💲💲!! I will have to look into tretinoin!

I am starting tretinoin again after being on it for 5 months one year back...i upped my tret to 0.5 now ..

thanks for the video packed with info! just a note on why using benzoyl peroxide is useful when using topical antibiotics: it’s not that the BP is killing the antibiotics, it’s actually killing the bacteria so that the bacteria doesn’t become antibiotic resistant;) i thought this might be helpful to clear any possible confusion:) anyways really great results! i’m looking forward to my own results since i’ve just started tret again this week after having used it with great success years ago. it is indeed a great product with many purposes but people usually don’t get a clear idea as to how to use it! these videos are very helpful

My acne also started at 21 and I had absolutely nothing before that. I thought I was the only one. 😂

I am using from 5 months..I do everything, sunscreen and all..but nothing is improving..recently from 3 4 days I have stopped Sandwich method and started using it directly on my face followed by moisturiser..I am currently using 0.025 variant. Please help me

What was your routine like cleanser moisturizer and sunscreen?

Great question! At night, I double cleanse and follow with serum and moisturizer, wait 5-15 minutes, then apply Tretinoin compound creme. Then in the morning, I use a Benzoyl Peroxide face wash ( I am using PanOxyl 4%), then follow with whichever sunscreen I'm using at the moment.... currently either the Biore Watery gel sunscreen or Paula's Choice Wrinkle Defense SPF. Then I wait ~5 minutes before proceeding with makeup. Hope this helps!

Hey! yeasterday I got tretinoin prescribed for my post acne marks (still a teen 19) if u could tell me can i use my niacinamide serum on top of it or I should avoid it and stick to neutrogena hyaluronic gel

Check with your doctor to be sure. I personally use the Naturium niacinamide cleanser as well as the Good Molecules niacinamide toner and do not have issues, but your skin may be different and more sensitive, especially with starting tret. I am not a doctor or dermatologist, so I can't say for sure.

tbh as someone who is on tret rn, its best to keep your routine very simple as having too many actives (AHA and BHA) can actually irritate your skin and break you out more. i saw the most improvement in my skin when i only used a gentle cleanser (W no actives, i use the vanicream gentle cleanser) and then a daily moisturizer (vanicream for sensistive skin daily moisturizer). i legit saw my face get extremely clear in 2-3 days

@jennifer6435 I am very offended by your comment. I am very much a guy. Identify as a guy Sunday-Wednesday and Thursday- Saturday identify as a lady. As a fellow fan of beef heart myself, I would expect the fan base to spread positivity on pages Jennifer 😘
