Wow how in the world is this 20 years ago??? What a great season. It's funny to think that of the 4 teams Bob Stoops took to the national title game, I would probably rank the 2003, 2004 and 2008 teams as being better than the 2000 team, but the 2000 team won the title. Oh well who cares. Great memories.

Was very much a Bud Wilkinson/Jim Greshem(sic?) fan. The latter was all-american fullback. I was all-state tailback/lb in '67 and had offers to walk-on to NU, KU and OU. I patterned my running style after Greshem. Cant tell you how much I loved the game. My family is purple and I didnt pursue fb.

@gregtangney its important to know when dealing with KSU fans that according to them, football history begins in 1993, was suspended from 2006-2008, then begins again in 2009.

Another stellar argument. You rag on us for sucking in the 90's, which we did, and then brag about beating us. So in your words, the best thing about the OU-K-State series for K-State is that you were able to beat us when we sucked and weren't when we didn't. Yeah, you guys really are awesome. The only reason K-State ever was any good was because OU sucked for a decade, and a lot of Oklahoma players became K-State's best players.

Slimy Barry Switzer??? You are appearently new to cololege football history being a K-state fan. Switzer is one of the pioneers in recruiting of and giving oppurtunities to the african american athlete which I think shows alot of humanity and class during a time where that was not a popular move. He is like a father to many of his players. Some of the things he got in trouble for were buying airline tickets for players who could not afford to go home for holidays.

He also got in trouble for buying clothes for some players that came from poor families so they would not have to wear the same worn out clothes day after day and have coats to stay warm and this was done after these players were already SOONERS. So it wasnt recruiting violations where he was buying players. The man is a humanitarian not a slime. As for heritage in Okie land just look all over college football and the NFL for the last 60 years. Snyder should take lessons from Bud, Barry, and Bob

Well then, based on your unbiased recommendation, I nominate Barry for sainthood. Believe it or not, I was an OU fan until Wilkerson hung it up. I regret calling you a "punk" and I apologize. I don't begrudge OU anything and I am not a bit envious. K-State fans are still put out by Stoops antics when he meddled with our coaches during the Big 12 championship week. There was a fight between some of the players and the defectors that wasn't pretty. You saw the results of the game.

Josh Norman was such an important piece of that offense. He made so many big plays that season. I’m hoping OU uses Mikey Henderson in a similar way in ‘21. They remind me of each other, and not just the #3. Similar size, both could also play running back, and both are match up nightmares for db’s and lb’s.

There are literally 100 teams, including K-State, who wish they had half the success we have. Sure, we've been beaten in some big games lately, but you know who wasn't there? You. Of course I'm embarrassed about Boise and WVU, but ask yourself this: What are you more embarrassed about, the fact that before Snyder came, you were the worst team in college football, or the fact that when he finally leaves for good you'll go back to being the same? There's a reason NO ONE wanted you in realignment.

At the end of the game, you look at the scoreboard and that tells the story. Grow up and grow a pair. As far as the coaches, from what I could tell, they ran to OU to get away from slave driver Bill S. All they did was go to a better school with better recruits and more money and win an NC. Why not coach at a school with 100 years tradition, not 10?
