First on the list we have Timo Werner who came to Chelsea on fire from RB Leipzig. At the time of his signing, the German was one of the most lethal and versatile forward players in the world and Chelsea were seen to be getting the next big thing.
We can't mention Werner without also putting his international teammate Kai Havertz on this list. Despite the fact that he scored the Champions League winning goal for them, we have to put him here because he never got anywhere close to expectations.
No list would be complete without the player who practically made the term ‘flop’ mainstream- Fernando Torres.
Something Torres never did though was win the ballon d'or like this next player. Andriy Shevchenko was on top of the world before joining Chelsea.

@@itcalledfootball600 he was at the start but he didn't get gametime under managers like Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter and Man United signed him in the worst possible time when he was not getting a single minute week after week to pay 50M for him it was not the right decision I'm hoping with the gametime he's getting under Erik Ten Hag he can become a bit better currently he's back from injury and will be available for Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup but to become a bit better he needs to work hard

Premier league is just a different beast. If I’m a couch in the English league I would not buy any player outside the premier league or that have not played more than a year in the premier league. The hardest league to adapt to.

Wdym mistreat majority of those players were given a chance Mount was back to back Chelsea player of the year, RLC and CHO had injury problems and most of the time if they were sold it’s because they weren’t good enough to play regularly in the team which is why Maatsen is going to be sold doesn’t mean the won’t be good enough eventually just they aren’t atm

Also giving players a chance doesn’t mean they have to stay at the club allowing them to leave and playing regular football is also giving them a chance sometimes even a better option then having them play limited minutes

Chelsea is the definition of career destroyer for good players. Torres, Aubameyang, Lukaku, Higuain, Werner, Havertz, Koulibaly, Felix, Mudryk, Caicedo, Lavia, and the list goes on. Fans even believed No.9 to be the "cursed" shirt number for any strikers or wingers, but it's actually not. Even non-strikers wearing No.9 such as Boulahrouz and Sidwell had a tough season with Chelsea shirt!
