I pray that she receives the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and be filled with the Ruach Ha'Kodesh. The problem is that the ruler of this world, the god of this world, Ha'Satan, is deceiving the minds of billions in this world. Bless Israel and bless her inhabitants. I have read Ezekiel before. But the other day I just put a burden on my heart to listen to The Book of Ezekiel again. And I listen to chapter 7, and it made me want to vomit. I am surrounded by Orthodox Jews, and I really desire to bring them to the saving knowledge of Jesus christ, but it seems that everything they've been taught is from rabbis who disagree amongst themselves. I've tried the Isaiah 53 route, I've tried many different routes, and I pray that these seeds, God will water them and nourish them into beautiful fruit bearing trees. But I just pray and Hope that through HIS Ruach, I can reach many before it's too late, before we are delivered from this world that we do not belong to, and are ushered into the Glorious Kingdom of the Shamayim. Do you have any ideas or thoughts that I could use to evangelize to them? I have to listen to this again. You said a few things I am not familiar with. The one that stands out most is what you said is from the book of Hebrews, so I will read that book again tonight. I was not aware that the Lord took His blood to Heaven to the Holy of Holies. That is awesome and fascinating but it stands to reason. It's one of those "wow" feelings like when I learned about the swaddling clothes. Thank you. I do so appreciate the scriptures becoming new again. How many people here think that prayerfully asking Jesus into your heart, is all you have to do be saved? And, that to suggest that there are things we need to do (works) as well, is against what scripture teaches? If you answered yes to either question, what do you make of Mathew 7:21-27, "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord', shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven". 22, "Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?". Do you not think that these men believed in Jesus? That they knew there was power in His name? How could they perform many wonders, prophesize, and cast out demons, if they didn't believe, yet they were not saved - 23 "I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness". These men did not regard the commandments - they were hearers of the word but not doers of the word. The scriptures repeatedly call for the commandments to be kept, both in the OT and throughout the NT. James 2:24, "You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only". Faith plays a part and works plays a part, and together they bring salvation. It of course begins with that prayer of faith, being 'born again', but our lives must then reflect the repentance that the commandments call for. We cannot just say a few words in prayer and then live whatever and however we please. And no, works alone cannot save a person either. The sacrifice on the cross is all encompassing, and nothing can circumvent that precious shedding of blood. God knows the heart, and His mercies are greater than judgement. It's not a case that every time we sin we lose our salvation, but that God expects us to work through our salvation with the Holy Spirit leading us and us following, so that we can be freed from that sin. It is likely that some, perhaps many, have a particular attachment to a sin in their lives, and that giving up that sin is hard, but we must be faithful and work to rid ourselves of it. This is where being born again of the Spirit comes in - on our own we are almost powerless against the flesh. But be not deceived, we are repeatedly told that keeping His commandments is the road to salvation. Don't stand before Him only to hear "Depart from Me. I never knew you who practice lawlessness".
