Disney doesn't want to tell you that star wars galaxy's edge is about the new Disney star wars. and characters will divert the topic if you mention old Disney stuff... Like: "this arent the droids you are looking for" ... Or if you mention Darth Vader in the empire. Or all that stuff. Also... Characters are for kids.. and cast members prefer if you let them do their magic for the kids instead of interrupting them... Also, adults put characters on the spot because adults don't get that they caaaaant break their characters... I once saw a video about a parent saying to chewy that they arent talk enough for the costume... The face on Rey and character handler was priceless. They cant cant cant cant cant cant break characters, adults make it hard for them. Also... Disney doesn't want you to know that hoarding characters for yourself makes the characters uncomfortable because they have to dispatch you while at the same time not break characters or hurt your experience.. ... Most of the time a handler will come. And you won't know the difference. But the handler is like a supervisor checking what is wrong. The characters shit their pants when the handler comes. Teenagers make it harder, I saw once a video about Rey trying to explain to a 19year old that his custom lightsaber isn't permitted. And the kid was a smart-ass saying that there is a shop selling lightsabers... Rey had to go "interrogate the scrap metal contraband"... Then talk to a shop employee. And ask the employee if they are changing "scrap metal"... The employee got the clue, replied "only in service" .. Then the kid said thanks Rey you were nice about it... Dude, you knew what she meant, you took her out of her routine, you made her have to jump obstacles in order to not break character... You are an asshole. Then chewie came with the handler... She shit her pants... That's wrong. I get it, Disney is for all ages... But remember characters are normal people with low salary, and replaceable. If you could just try to not act like a kid, and be reasonable. They might keep their jobs... It's ok if a kid doesn't understand this and tries to hoard a princess, but don't hoard her yourself with stupid questions while she is trying to work the magic on your kid. You are taking time from her and putting her in the spot with your "breaking the 4th wall comments" ... Take a picture and let kylo ren keep going, save your Disney ruined star wars comments, and the im an og star wars fan mentality, let them give you the product they worked so hard on. Stop raining on Disneys parade, it is really cool what they are doing. There was this guy asking Rey how to get a job at Disney... Man.. Rey had to explain that there's a lot of scavenger and engineer jobs for the falcon and recruitments and if he wants she could speak with Leia for his recruitment... Come on, don't do this... Don't make them break character, you are wasting your money if you do this... Disney is for you to insert yourself inside the movie. Don't break that magic bringing the real world to it... Most of the time is not on purpose, but sometimes it is.. Sometimes people just want to be smartasses

I've been saving since June 2015. We make $21,000 every year before taxes. Every year since than we've just gone tent camping and spent only gas money to destination. Gotta save those pennies. Our 4 day, 3 night trip for family of 5: Disney has campsite for tent $228 + $984 Quick Service meal plan+ $100 souvenirs + $1,000 for 2 day tickets no park hopping+ $200 taxes/tips/fees/just in case+ $80 tent fee for 2 nights total for driving down and back + $360 car gas= $2,952 total. We've saved $2,600 so far and still have 10 months to save to reach our goal of $3,000. We save typically $50 every month but there was times we couldn't and preplanned that into our goal like holiday and birthday. So we will see Animal Kingdom day 1, Fort Wilderness day 2, Magic Kingdom day 3, and Disney Springs day 4 until we leave after 11am lunch. No it's not cheap but it's what we can afford with serious hard work of saving up for it. It use to drive me nuts when people say they go often and it doesn't cost all that much. It really does! I'm not big on rollercoasters and neither is one child of ours so my top goal is meeting characters and seeing the shows/ parades/ animals.

Another tip: You don't have to go into a park every time you go to Disney World, or every day during your stay. There are plenty of things to do and see at resorts and at Disney Springs, without the need to pay a park admission. In another video, AJ suggests you take a day off to relax at your resort, or to check out some other resorts. Taking a day off is a nice break and can reenergize you for the next day of your visit. See a movie, eat a nice meal off site, or go to another Orlando theme park.

I strongly recommend you buy a much cheaper, longer-lasting portable charger online. Swapping out "fuel rods" is nice if you have a portable charger that will run out after one charge...but buy an Anker or similar portable charger and you'll get 3 or 4 charges out of a small charger.

Ashley McCoy That is what we do. I tested out some pocket size external batteries from the $5.00 & Below Store but they just weren’t reliable so I ended up ordering a few powerful but small external batteries from Amazon. Along with 1-2 foot iPhone charging cables. Another good thing about the Amazon external batteries is they each came with a small carrying case and very small micro cables to charge the external batteries. I basically made 2-4 sets with each set including an external battery, 1 or 2 foot iPhone cable, carrying case with the small micro cable in the case. This summer when our older boys needed a charge I pulled a set from the backpack and they could slide their iPhone charging with the small external battery into their pockets. I kept a small wall charger with my set and each afternoon or evening during our sit down meal I would top off the external batteries. We went on a 7 night cruise after the week at WDW and the external batteries came in handy for the cruise too.

I can't eat large portions, but I find the limited selection of children's menus very off-putting as an adult. If I wanted chicken nuggets, I'd go to McDonalds and save a lot of money. I go out to eat to try new foods or enjoy meals I can't/won't make at home. I wish restaurants had options for smaller portions of regular menu items.
@davidfitzsimmons2451
@davidfitzsimmons2451 4 жыл бұрын
You can ask about removing sides from the meal, a lot of places in parks offer that option to remove a few bucks off. And not every kids meal in the parks is just chicken tenders or Mac and cheese, there are some more interesting options but it does definitely require a bit more research to find them. The meat buns for kids menu at Pandora was always a rather popular sight to see adults choosing instead.

There certainly are plenty of chicken nuggets on the kids menus but if you keep your eyes peeled there are some really great options. Last trip I got a delicious piece of salmon with steamed broccoli off the kids menu at sunshine seasons, it was the perfect portion.

I have no problems eating off the kids menu (also, sidebar, the McNuggets are way lower quality and grosser than chicken nuggets in other places), but I REALLY wish restaurants all over (not just at Disney) would have small portion options. I suppose it's some kind of issue with how much it costs to prepare the food versus how much they sell it for, but it's really annoying to want X food but it comes as basically three servings.
@susanzahn4922
@susanzahn4922 4 жыл бұрын
@@KeemieKEZ I did snacks as meals quite a few times on my past trips. But on my upcoming trip, the package deal came with the meal plan, so I'm looking at tons of food! I'm resigned to wasting food, sadly--it's that or only ordering off the appetizers and soups menus, which means I'd never come close to getting my money's worth.

Some of us live in Orlando and don't have to pay for hotel or travel, so we only need tickets, which are cheaper for FL residents. Also, I don't live in FL anymore and have only been back to DisneyWorld twice in 10 years and DisneyLand once. For DisneyLand, we stayed off property at a hotel with a free shuttle, which saved a ton of money, and we drove 12 hours instead of flew. It can be done, but takes a lot of planning in advance and budget-crunching.

Kor 82 You almost definitely will be able to order off the kids menu at quick/counter service restaurants. Table service restaurants are the wild card here. Some allow it, some don’t. It usually depends whether or not the server is a good Disney employee or not, because even if you’re denied a kids menu at the front, most servers will bring you one and let you order off it with no judgement. As a general rule of thumb I’ve found, if there’s a plain hamburger / cheese pizza / chicken wings (like, for example something special, I.e chicken wings with a special sauce) then 9/10 times you’ll be allowed to order off the kids menu.

Personally I understand the need of recycling tips, but it comes off very clickbaity when the title is 'tips Disney does not want us to say' you expect new things that they have not already been saying almost every week. It's like 'wow the things that everyone already knows is something Disney didn't want her to say? A bit late for that isn't it?' Now if the format of the video was something like 'top past tips Disney has told us they would like us to stop discussing' that would feel more honest and have less expectation for new amazing tips. I don't think anyone TRULY expects ONLY new original tips and content all the time, but the issue comes from setting expectations with titles.

Hi David! Thanks for your comment, and thank you for being engaged with this channel. We work very hard to ensure that our videos are valuable to a wide variety of Disney fans as well as viewers who are deciding whether or not to go to Disney. Many tips do fit into multiple videos, and it's our job to make sure that -- even if a piece of advice was shared in another video -- it's still included just in case a viewer hasn't seen every single video we've created. But you'll want to be careful with the word clickbait in reference to our videos. Clickbait implies that the content doesn't live up to the title and doesn't offer value to the viewer, and I can assure you that we are tediously careful to be sure that the advice and content that's in our videos is valuable, informative, useful and beneficial to our viewers. We work really hard -- REALLY HARD -- at creating excellent videos that help people plan better trips to Disney destinations. So while I greatly appreciate that you recognize that some tips do indeed need to be in multiple videos -- very few people watch every single video, and would therefore miss out on relevant content if we didn't include tips more than once -- but I wouldn't agree that the videos don't live up to their titles.

I go to either WDW or Disneyland every year. Wdw more often because it's a better deal imo. I have stayed at value, moderate, and DVC resorts, as I have DVC points. I actually find the value food courts to have better food than the moderate or deluxe. It is very easy to go check out all the other resorts and their restaurants. My favorite value resort is Pop Century. Their food court is my favorite out of all of the resorts. They often have more buses going to the value resorts too, and you don't have to wait as long.

Some of the Fuel Rod kiosks in WDW have recently had their “Free Unlimited Swapping” graphic removed. This could mean a fee may be charged in the future. Or it can mean they are changing the graphics, lol. Find out before you buy one for your trip though.

If you want the experience of a luxury resort and don't want to pay the price look at the swan and dolphin (Dolphin will most likely be the cheaper of the two). You have to pay to get from the airport to the hotel but after that you get all the on property transportation. Even with a passholder hotel discount it still came out cheaper than yacht and beach clubs and you get that amazing "commute" to Epcot and Hollywood studios

Yes, the food court at the All-Star Resorts was meh, but the main downside to them was the wait for buses and the long drives to parks from there (except Animal Kingdom). A little trick we discovered: All three All-Star resorts are walking distance from each other. We stayed at Music but had long waits for buses (a lot of ECVs and people). We found that no one was waiting for Sports, so we hopped on that bus and then walked 5-10 minutes to Music. Much faster than waiting the 30 minutes for a bus to All-Star Music.

As a note at table service restaurants Annual Pass discounts are only good for up to 4 people so if your group is bigger than 4 one annual pass will not get everyone a discount.

Honestly If I can’t spring for moderate or above, I stay at the Disney Springs area resorts and so should you... Value is not worth the money and at a Disney Springs Area resort you have tons of food and entertainment/shopping options nearby. Benefits have been extended through the end of 2020 too so you can still book fast passes in advance.

The one problem I have with value resorts is the beds. My partner and I went for a night stay for his graduation and the beds were just stiff and uncomfortable. I think that's the major thing that would drive me to go to moderate because the beds at moderate and delux resorts have been much more comfortable in my experience.

Another one is that if you want free parking (this tip is for California Disneyland) then you have to have the signature witch is 1200 dollars but you don’t have to get that for the whole family just get the rest of the family delux passes or any other cheap pass and then get one of the people in your family a signature and then you save money and you get free parking

I usually make a short trip every year, but this year I am doing Disneyland instead, and still have a WDW ticket for 10 days from two years ago(at least) that I will use later this year or early next year. I like that the tickets don't really expire so much anymore as much as you can just push things back if you need to. I do always go during the off season(or what is left of one), and it's nice knowing that I don't have to do everything in Galaxy's Edge in one trip. However, I do wish they would bring the Lunar New Year celebration to the east coast. I think those of us that live closer to Florida kinda miss out on some DL exclusive events.

I keep a larger battery bank on hand. Its bulkier, but holds a 5x the charge of a fuel rod and I can plug in up to 4 devices at once or if I'm travelling solo, I just use the USB passthrough in my backpack and that takes care of the bulk. Also, the other difference between a value and a moderate is that moderates have a water slide at their main pool. Whether that's worth the upcharge is up to you, but it's something to think of.

Do you have to buy a ticket for every park or just one for all the parks?
@davidfitzsimmons2451
@davidfitzsimmons2451 4 жыл бұрын
Depends on what you mean specifically. You buy one ticket for a day and I am FAIRLY certain it applies to just that park you are at for the day, because back when we use to do tickets there was the park hopper options. USUALLY when booking multiple days at the parks you are just going to get one of the multiday bundles that includes the park hopper ability built into the tickets. But again this was a while ago so they might have changed things, but either way unless you are buying a ticket every day individually on your trip I doubt it will be an issue. If you are asking if the tickets extend outside of the Disney world parks to Land, Sea, etc then no, not even annual pass covers that.

They sell a base ticket which is one park a day and they sell a Disney par hopper plus which also enables each person to visit either a waterpark a day or miniature golf or real golf a day along with parkhopping...they just started selling only the plus. Those are the only tickets per day per person and they decrease in price per person the more days u stay!

I still don't see how I'm not going to pay the rack rate for a room. I have looked for the past 10 years and we will only get nominal discounts through services like AAA. Basically the room and park rates as shown are the best we will pay. There are no deep discounts. The best strategy for a cheaper room I have found is to look constantly to see if there is a discount that appears, half a year ahead of going to the park.
