What do you recommend if there is a problem with the root system like mealy bugs or a fungus? Could you make a video?

If ever I’ll encounter root mealybugs or fungus I’ll make one. But I don’t usually have this problem since I try to prevent them by using systemic insecticide, proper soil mix, watering infrequent, and checking/root trimming newly bought cactus. Anyway, here’s what I’ll do if I encounter them: 1. Uproot and wash the roots with running water. 2. Root trim the roots especially the roots that are infected or rotting. (I already made a video about root trimming, you could check it out.) 3. Let the roots callous for at least 3-5 days depending on the wound. 4. Pot the cactus on a well draining and clean soil mix. You could add diatomaceous earth in the soil mix. 5. Add systemic insecticides. (Prevention id better than cure) Also, if you see root mealybugs in one of your cactus, be sure to check the adjust cactus.

if astrophytum flatten is it lack of water?

There are some Astrophytum that are flat. But if the Astrophytum skins appears folded then it is dehydrated

Hello, have you encounter any problem with cactus growing sideway? I have some of my cactus growing sideway and im not sure why

Hi, I’m not sure what you meant by sideway. But a lot of top heavy cactus can grow in a slant like columnar Astrophytum myriostigma, some species of Mammillaria and such. Can you send me an image at my email: theplantprinceph@gmail.com so I could see the cactus. Thank you
