@@Psych2go When it comes to finding out who makes you happy and who you want to be around, these types of friendships are important to take note on (the types mentioned in videos) I think it's important to not narrow the options of these types of people and assuming they only work in romantic relationships because pretty much the only difference is that you don't wanna procreate with a friend. But the relationships are still very similar because the goal of the connection is to help one another grow, learn, and bond with the other person. Just because one doesnt want to have a baby with you doesn't mean you cant have a sense of strong platonic love. Suggestion: I think more videos on friendships may be a healthy balance to your guys channel. Maybe more talk about love languages and how that can effect relationships (romantic and platonic).

cloud danny It’s about trying. Honestly, my friends always come to me for advice about stuff. Emotional/relationship/fitness/habit building, and i give them a step by step guide and when they don’t even make an effort, it’s like “why’d i bother to even do this research for you?” Ya kno? I improved that part of me by not giving advice and starting from a “Theyre just venting” mentality and then if they really want advice they’ll directly ask for it.

Try to give back the same amount of kindness they give to you. This will show to your person that you appreciate them as much as they do. If you aren't as good as your partner in advices or emotional support try to show him/her your love by doing something that you are good at. For example if you are good at cooking you could make their favorite food to thank them for supporting you in something.

I have yet to ask anyone out on a date, but I'd like to know what my weaknesses are so i can work around them beforehand. @theia rennie , did you find any weaknesses to logicians from being with your boyfriend? (I don't know how to ping in youtube anymore, they change it quite often)

@@theplaguedoc1997 As a fellow Logician, I would say our weakness is to be too Logical at times, perhaps even rigid since we can see things from a very rational point of view. That and going into too much detail about a matter that some may only wish to have a superficial understanding about. Lastly, not living in the moment enough and too often trying to see the “deeper meaning” in things.
@iferawhite7661
@iferawhite7661 2 жыл бұрын
@@theplaguedoc1997 As a logician (personality and lover type) and the child of a father who is most certainly a logician (personality and lover type), I'd say it's pride(ego) and closedmindedness that you need to avoid. From what I've observed from my father and myself and people who come and go in my life, a lot of logical, debate-loving people have the following traits: - difficulty apologizing/admitting that you're wrong (as someone who still really struggles with this, if you recognize that you're the same way, I recommend taking steps to fight it ASAP before it becomes any more of a habit. Even if you're a good person and you know when you're wrong and you improve from your mistakes, not ADMITTING that you're wrong can really drive a wedge between you and your partner and might even ruin your relationship. Make sure you don't struggle with this!!) - turning everything into a debate (this can really exhaust whoever you're talking to, especially a lover) - Always thinking you know better than the other person (a product of ego and closed-mindedness that is most common in people who are sponges for knowledge... Because you pride yourself in your mind and the things you have learned, you might view the other person as naive or refuse to accept their point of view because you think it's unjustified because you 'know better' than them) - 'mansplaining' (it can be reeeeeally boring and tiring to listen to an over-explanation of something you either don't care about or already know about... lol) Aside from this, I'd also try to be introspective and identify your bad habits and weaknesses! As a Logician myself, I spend most nights forcing myself to look at my behavior objectively. A lot of us logicians can get wrapped up in our pursuit of knowledge or our supposed intelligence and be blind to our own flaws. The most important thing IMO in a relationship for a logician is to recognize and admit to your mistakes! Also keep an open mind and don't assume you know more than the other person; be respectful and maybe research it together. even if you ARE right, don't say things like "I told you so" or "you should've listened to me" or things like that. I hope this helped! And on the topic, please tell me if I got something wrong or wasn't clear. Otherwise I might not be able to tell, because I'm the type of person who just sort of assumes their knowledge as fact until debunked--and if you're similar, always play the devil's advocate with yourself! Keeps your mind nice and open to new perspectives.

I think I've started calling illogical people (mainly family members) morons, imbecils, and (my favorite thing to call someone) an imbecilic moron. What I like about the last one is the people I say that to or about I highly doubt they know what it means, and they are not children, I give children a pass on making illogical decisions, they don't know any better.

My ideal ones is the logician, because in my family and to my a few friends, I am unknowingly becoming the logician myself. Having another set of mind to exchange and correcting our knowledge is refreshing and touching, and I feel more physically and mentally connected with them despite not really *touching* them. I wouldn’t find another soul because I couldn’t find anyone so intriguing and similar to me. once I’m in, I’ll do my best to keep my relationships going, whilst being myself. If it didn’t make me happy at all, it probably because we’re not the right locks and keys. We can still be friends though, even after we break up with each other.

I’m the therapist. It used to be more severe with my older relationships, where most of our conversations just turned into me listening to their problems and me trying to help them solve it. I wouldn’t mind at first cause I thought it was just them opening up to me, but eventually that’s all I felt I can offer. I wasn’t used to being a talker due to the way I was parented, and so I don’t feel as comfortable talking.The resentment towards the person wasn’t them being flawed, it was that they never got around to ask how was I was feeling. And then I realized that I always became the therapist because I only knew how to listen in a relationship. Eventually I met a really close friend who’s like a sister to me, and that habit started shifting. It was the first time someone I knew genuinely cared to ask how my day was and listened. Now with friendships and dating relationships, that’s become something I search for in friends, and even dating. My current partner sarcastically called me a therapist earlier in the relationship, so I’m still working on it.

This was really interesting to see! I saw a lot of similar patterns in my previous dating life.
