I’ve always tried so sooooo hard to make people understand that Allah isn’t “God of muslims” that it just means god in Arabic and that Christians in the Middle East use the word Allah like Muslims but no one seems to understand 😂😂 So THANK YOU for this video

@@abgartheblack8832 Arabic did not come Aramaic this has been proven false before. Both have developed in different regions and Arabic is more advanced. Yes both languages have similarities that doesn't mean Arabic came from Aramaic. I also agree Allah is not just for Muslims. We never claimed this. Allah is the God of Jews, Christians and Muslims after all we're all children of Adam.

Exactly im trying to say people are ignorant they don't want to understand the true meaning of the word, i was tryin to explain it to someone, on a post it was something kinda offensive but it was "they are waiting for allah to get them" whatever it was, i told him that im arabic and Christian and i say "allah", i told the word itself means "Allah" and its just the same thing and he still says "no allah is for muslims, god is for Christians" like wtf i had to tell him the word itself means that and he is still ignorant

Se me olvidaba que también "ojalá" procede del árabe washallah, según indica el Diccionario Etimológico de Coro minas. Utilizamos esa frase cuando esperamos o anhelamos algo bueno: "Ojalá acabe pronto la pandemia del COVID19". According to Coro minas' Etymological Dictionnary, the expresión "ojalá" comes from arabic washallah, and we use it to say that web hope or wish or long for something good to happen: "I hope so, I hope (that)...., I expect ( that)..., I long for...

@@Dark-Memes It was the main language in Al Andalus where those known as "Mozarabic languages" were also spoken. The Iberian Peninsula was divided into two parts: Al Andalus and the northern Christian territories that included kingdoms and counties, these spoke Galician-Portuguese, Leonese, Castilian, Aragonese, Catalan. Above all, from the 11th century onwards, Christians from the north moved south and conquered Tuleytulá (Toledo) in 1085, Wasqa (Huesca) in 1096, Saraqusta (Zaragoza) in 1118, Lishbunah (Lisbon) in 1147, Tirwal (Teruel) in 1171, ... And after the battle of Las Navas de Tolosa in 1212 Al Ándalus was reduced to the Emirate or Sultanate of Granada until 1492. So no, Arabic was not "the first language in Spain for 800 years".

@@user-yo4jn5kz3j Most of the world did not even know the Arabic language. You just have to look at a map and see that the world was much larger than the territory ruled by Muslims. La mayor parte del mundo ni siquiera conocía la lengua árabe. Sólo tienes que mirar un mapa y ver que el mundo era mucho más grande que el territorio gobernado por musulmanes.

In Malaysia the Malay Language (Bahasa Melayu), there is the expression "Alamak", not to be confused with "Allah maak", it is one word instead of two although they sound really similar when pronounce quickly. It means something like oops, and is mainly used when you did something unintentionally. e.g. Alamak I forgot to take my phone with me / Alamak I did not know you dislike spicy food!

"Alamak" might be originated from Japan's "Aramak", which is used the same way as Malay version and even have the same meaning. Even the tone and way to pronounce it is the same, except their language lacked the genuine "L" sound.

Here in the Balkans some of these expressions can be heard as well. For example ''vala'' which is used a lot and it comes from arabic ''wallahi''

I'm a white dude in Hawaii, but my dear friend Nibras is a devout Shia Iraqi. After many years of friendship with her, I picked up saying "Ya Allah" to myself in the same way I'd say OMG. ..or inshallah the same way I'd say "God help me". At first I started using them just to joke with her, but they eventually stuck. Those phrases are so baked into the fabric of language and God is such a powerful concept, that even non religious people like me still use them. I love how you mentioned the similarities between Arabic and western use of "God".

3:08 Mark! Fun fact, Goodbye comes from an older version of English "God be with ye", which means "God be with you". See, connections ;)
