Hi from California. We used to have car salesmen named, Cal Worthington, who sold a variety of cars. He wore a cowboy hat and a dog named Spot. Randy is that same, “come on down here! I’ll beat anyone’s prices!”, energy. I love what you are doing.

Cal’s dog spot was never a dog lol, a bear, a camel, always an assortment of animals….my grandma even bought a car from him lol…. surprisingly enough it was a really good car blue ambassador station wagon….. Wow Cal Worthington, there’s a very old memory…. I grew up in Orange County in Garden Grove and lived in Lakewood as an adult….

Put a bed at the bay window and have something like a studio apartment feel to it. A reclining love seat and side tables. I would do without the loft and use shelving. Perfect for someone like us 😊

I really miss how the cupboards that went under the stairs for storage of kitchen things. Adds some storage. Now you have to use cupboards for storage. I also loved the Randy racks that have disappeared. These things have always been big sellers for me. These things should not be part of a DIY.

I'm very glad to see you are all safe. Didn't see a video from ITH after the tornados in Nashville, weather reports were scary, forcasting possible tornadoes through eastern Tennessee then north and further east in North Carolina including my county ... . 2 hours from Atlantic Ocean!! I love it❤. I want one. You can put a Christmas Tree inside your tiny house trailer. I haven't had a Christmas Tree in decades. I miss that every year. Yes this is civilized living, not just a trailer house but a home. I love the big windows, it reminds me of the home I once had. Great Job! The Christmas Tree, the big windows and the space looks all great. ❤❤❤

You’re talking about moving the two side windows farther towards the door area. Would I still have an option not to move them? I would like to keep them where they are make that the living room and put a Murphy bed on the longer wall between the kitchen and the front living room.

I would love to see the stairs. Any chance the bottom portion of the stairs can flip up out of the way? That way, the solid stairs can be along the wall up to the loft, and the bottom section of the stairs can be made with retractable or flip up like aluminum RV steps. For the most part, the stairs would be out of the way until you need to use them.

You can install a ships ladder on a pulley system that stores up at the ceiling when not in use. You don't have to buy the ITH stairs.

@@streetsmartintelligent Yes! Here's another idea... retractable ladder with handrails up to the top of a built in closet (or cabinet surrounding an apt size refrigerator) at the end of the kitchen. Agree with you about this. I think moving some types of sofas & chairs into the LR area without damaging them will be a challenge if stairs block the way. It really depends on the step rise. Regardless, people often don't consider these possible issues until moving day.

@l.h5618 Yes, fold-away attic type stairs are a good option.👍 On the flip side, they can scare away older/aging tiny home buyers who don't want to risk a fall. Esp during the night. Plus, box stairs offer extra storage if ITH still offer that option. Personally, I like wide fixed stairs because you can safely scooch up & down them on your butt if necessary, lol ;)

Somebody will appreciate this home & buy it, no worries. Also, re the stair placement, remember to leave enough clearance to move chairs & sofas into the LR area. So much upholstered furniture is absurdly big & puffy these days.

I wish I could get a VA loan for this house, but they won’t finance any houses smaller than 400 sf. It’s getting more difficult to find land to put these tiny homes on.

My bedroom will be on first level. I got the double dormers for light and astetics. I will put up a half wall for my bedroom and leave the rest open. My loft will be for storage. I got 30% off my amenities. I got propane cook top and propane Instant hot water in case I lose power. I got a minni split and ceiling fan and washer dryer hook up. I opted for a range hood over the cook top and a picture window instead of a bay window. I got the EMP surge protector since it is a metal house. All under 31500.

@@francesn33, not to hurt your feelings, but the propane water heater will only work with electricity, I have a gas tankless water heater but only works if we have power!

Just a note - Traditional Gas Water Heaters with Standing Pilot does not require electricity to operate. Modern Gas Water Heaters with Hot Surface Ignition uses a resistance element to light the pilot and ignite the gas burners, a process that does require electricity.
