But Supernanny got to the root, and dug it out. Just by calmly talking to him he explained what happened to cause his outburst with his sister. And he calmed down. I found that very interesting when she told the dad by him bringing anger to his son, it was only escalating the anger, in the son. And you could clearly see the son face talking to Nanny he was just wanting to get an adult to listen to his side. So Nanny said get both sides, before you always condemn the one you think started it. No wonder he had all that anger, in him, too much unjustified condemnation.

"We have different views on his lifestyle" and yet she is so sad her dad isn't there and wants him. I don't think she homophobic. I think her husband is. but he's worn her down to think she is too. that sit-down convo with the 3 of them just shows it. Her husband is controlling her thoughts and way of life. she was so scared of him leaving her, as her father did with her mother, that she had that many kids when she didn't want kids. there is more stuff going on behind closed doors. Her husband seems manipulative, and also aggressive. The kids learn to hit each other from seeing it from somewhere. I wonder who they learn that from. I may be completely wrong, but this is just another take on this family.

When you decide to have that many kids, it is your responsibility to care for them and look after them. When you realize you can't, stop having more! Don't rely on the older children just to have more. We are living in times where there are lots of ways to prevent getting pregnant. Use them! Or deal with it.

Well who would..like textbook controller. Knock her up young before career/degree, knock her up again when you have small baby 6 more times so she is basically pregnant 7 years straight. Being working class means being SAHM is only option. And then, because she is people pleaser personality, isolate her from her dad. He didn't have to like her dad, but there is no reason why he wouldn't allow her to have relationship with him. This was obvious case that husband decided how THEY felt and her opinion was whatever husband's opinion was.

You gotta watch the husbands body language and reactions whenever he was around Jo, its almost like he's curling in on himself, he cant even look Jo in the eye (he's either looking down, to the side, or his eyes are looking above Jo's head). He knows he's been caught, he knows she's going to call him out - ON TV. Its like he's being careful around her, careful about what he does and says. Also - when Jo is talking to Katie about how she's too hard on herself? Husband is watching Katy and his jaw is tense.

Right from the start, my heart was aching for this family. The mum clearly has more kids than she ever wanted and can't handle them all. In my family, I was the eldest who had to be grown up and responsible, and I was also the one with an undiagnosed developmental disorder that wasn't treated appropriately, so I feel for Marli and Daniel both. I'm really looking at the dad in this situation for putting all this on his wife.
