@@mythicalmonke8895 it's e4 c5 Nf3 d6 (Nc6 or e6 is also playable ) d4 cxd4 Nxd4 Nf6 Nc3 And from here 4 variations diverge. And bringing out the queen too early can be dangerous and will cost useless protecting moves.

The line that Golan played is a playable line, the Chekhover variation. Not popular at high level chess but perfectly fine for club players.
