I just fill the feeders everyday for my girls and babies. The bucks have smaller bowls so don't get as much. Haven't had any issues with over or underfeeding. I only feed pellets as the hay was what was always waisted. If you use a good balanced pellet you don't need to feed hay. I havent in 2 years and haven't had any issues with not doing it.

They get loved on daily as I clean and feed. But actually they rarely get held as most rabbits don't like being held. But they love being scratched and petted. I have a few that just don't like people much but for the most part they are sweethearts.

I do it by myself. I sometimes can bribe my kids to do stuff. Lol. But it doesn't take but maybe at most 1 hour a day of actually working with the rabbits. What is my "job" actually is dealing with people writing me and coming to look at rabbits and setting up transporting rabbits to people and keeping up with my facebook page. I do make a decent income. But I am a stay at home mom who can devote tons of time to it and I have paid alot in promoting it. I also ship my rabbits around the country with transport services so that helps alot. And I have been working on all this for 3 years and I just now can get ok money at times. But it depends on the variety you give people to choose from and having good quality stock and colors.

@@beardsbountifulbunnies1655 really! I only have 4 rabbits and it takes me and hour. But I don’t have wire bottom floors so I have to sweep all their cages and empty litter boxes, I also have water bowls so I have to empty and clean those too.

No. Dutch rabbits are defined by a very specific coloration pattern as well as a small cobby body type. Solid color Dutch rabbits are not Dutch rabbits. There are plenty of not-great (in terms of the standard) Dutch and Dutch mixes out there that will have the basic Dutch markings, but lots of colored spots or other things that would be a DQ in a show.

I do send my rabbits around the country but you have to find a transporter who goes from me to you. Sadly most transporters aren't moving anything through the southwest right now because of a bad bunny virus in the wild and now domestic population. @@uftc1324 A gaze floor is no good , they get problems with their heels, and without straw they have nothing tot do. A pregnant rabbit makes a nest , weeks before . If there is no hay or straw , what can she do ? In winter it is very cold .

Bolletje bruin Sore hocks are caused by several things, none of which are from a GOOD CLEAN wire floor. They can be genetic but more often is caused by flimsy or rusted, wet or dirty floors where feces has been allowed to accumulate or something as simple as a rabbit that thumps at every sound. Rescue organizations have found rabbits living in filth in wire cages and those rabbits have often had sore hocks and the assumption was that it was caused by the wire floor. What caused the sore hocks was the build up of manure left wet by urine. When fur gets wet and soiled the fur develops a fungus that peels the fur away from the foot leaving it open to become infected. Rusty floors, even if kept clean can result in sore hocks from the constant abrasion and consequently infection.

Bolletje bruin if you are breeding, then you add a nest box in with the pregnant does, you can add anything you want in the cage really. Rabbit really don’t have a problem with the cold, if you really concerned there are many things you can do to keep them warm.
