When I die I want to go back to this era. I was 18 yrs old in 1986 and was a teen at the perfect time. This era was really laid back and just really fun to be alive. And watching these commercials just brings me back and makes me kinda of sad seeing the madness we’re in now.
@pepsi_man4962

I’m 18 years old. It’s 2022. I work a full time job as a school cleaner. 3-11 Monday-Friday. And let me tell you. That is about the only good thing to come out of life for me these days. I’ve tried having friends but that never works out. I’ve tried keeping girlfriends but all they ever want to do is party, smoke weed, vape, and do other bad immature things constantly. I listen to mostly 80s music. I watch mostly 80s movies. And I grew up with my dad always bringing me to shopping malls. Now the malls are mostly gone and shutting down so I can’t enjoy those. What is there good from life anymore? I just want a good girlfriend to spend my life with than I’ll be fine. But that may not happen at this point. I’m sick of this modern culture. I’m sick of what is happening. I’m sick of what has been normalized. Nobody can just be a genuine mature person. I can’t even watch television without getting woke crap thrown in my face either. I can’t go to the store without seeing trashy people and high prices. I can’t do nothing.
@Horriflick

@@pepsi_man4962 I was a teen in the 80s/90s too. Turns out - people pretty much sucked then too. Kids drank and smoked pot a lot then and, like you, a lot of kids felt lonely and isolated. Labor jobs had just as shitty working conditions. Politics were just as ineffectual. Worries about war and nuclear meltdowns. An 80s economy that was backed on outrageous debt fell like a house of cards at the end of the decade. People turned blind eyes to social, economic, and medical problems if they weren’t in their backyards (and usually they were - that’s how bad we had our heads in the sand). I get it. Your life isn’t exactly ideal at the moment, but shopping malls and not having to see a gay character on TV suddenly wouldn’t turn it all around. Plenty of us were miserable as fuck in the 80s too.
@pepsi_man4962
@pepsi_man4962 Жыл бұрын
@@Horriflick now imagine the struggle of the 1980s on top of all of the struggles these days. So times 10. There were struggles in every decade. But now a days something is off. Simply walk into a Walmart or Home Depot and you won’t see one normal person there. In the 80s you didn’t have dangerous freaks of nature walking among you. The 80s was not perfect just like every decade. But I can assure you the 1980s was one of the most normal decades for the American middle class (people like us). Now you can’t even send your child to school without anti American sentiment being shoved down their throats. Little kids can’t even watch tv anymore without seeing a black, trans, lesbian, dog fetish person in Nickelodeon. The 90s and 2000s was way better than it is now to tell you the honest 100% truth!!!

Not really Mark Meadows,it was just another decade for a majority of us children. The ones that want to go back to the 1980's are the Toy R US kids that are now in their 40's still sleeping with their Geoffrey Giraffes because they couldn't figure why no woman wanted to marry them. We'll be seeing those 10.9% interest rates on cars again real soon. Unfortunately, we won't ever see those lower inflation-adjusted prices again.....I do miss those days!

13:22 - 10.9% interest is considered a "deal" for a car loan. We are heading back to that way. A time when people saved up to buy things and used less credit.

I actually have an old pair of binoculars that I found out were worth $100.00 by January 2019 , that dated back to the Korean War, so some of the ones in that one TV ad may be worth something… I only have them because an goodwill store I went to thought they were an toy, which they weren’t…irony is I paid only $1.00 for Binoculars worth $100.00 for new ones like mine in an camera store … ( also they were made in China and may have been an Canadian soldier’s war trophy / relic, they kept till they passed away)…because they had an made in China label in English and Chinese, and came in an case with red fabric cotton inside with black exterior leather as I found out thanks to Google in 2020 during the 1st COVID-19 lockdown …which I still have to this day…and is now part of my emergency supplies kits…
