I don't know if anyone has pointed this out but the clip from 49:18 isn't from a Valorant Tournament, it's actually from when Forsaken got caught out in a CS:GO Tournament. Vanguard sometimes tends to give out false "cheater detected" screens. A friend of mine had (as we found out later) corrupted valorant files on her PC which made Vanguard work improperly, telling her to enable secure boot/TMP when secure boot was already enabled (vanguard allowed her to launch the game, also play the game, but she would get kicked out of any gamemode she would queue up for after a couple minutes while everyone in the lobby would receive a cheater detected screen). She would also get the ban message, but her account wouldnt get banned. After a long back and forth with riot support, reinstalling Valorant and the entire client structure fixed the issue. We assume that the coding software she downloaded the day prior was responsible for the issues.

@@LukeSawardMusic as i said in my initial post, vanguard was broken meaning it was probably barely running or not running at all when she launched her game. we simply didnt know that its possible to launch valorant without vanguard activated in the first place. It told her to enable Secure boot/TMP on her PC (her PC still runs windows 10, where TMP is not required and therefore usually not active) and we could see from screenshots from her BIOS that secure boot was enabled. just because its a kernel level anti cheat that doesnt mean the program itself it cant be broken or have flaws and then create false flag alarms in their system.

As good as an anti-cheat Vanguard is, somehow these cheaters can make it to Radiant undetected. The fact that someone in your own private lobby was a cheater speaks volumes. He also threatened to sue for defamation and backed down when you challenged him. LMAO.

My favorite story of encountering a hacker in Valorant is when I was warming up in a swiftplay, and my opponents had a harbor on their team that always let their team to our weaker site. As I kept playing the match, I took down the Harbor again and again, until the eighth round, when the red screen popped up. I checked the accounts of each enemy player immediately after, and the Harbor’s profile was by far the most suspicious. Moral of the story, don’t hack unless you want to be banned Edit : fixed typos

On the guy that queued with low ranks, there's a difference between unintentional abusing a bug and intentionally abusing a bug. Mortdog from the TFT team has a good short on it. If the guy unintentionally climbed through that, then it's fine. However, the guy clearly repeatedly queued up for something that wasn't intended in the system and abused it, which is bannable

Ive had a total of 12 definitive cheaters during my whole time playing valorant. Only 5 being banned on the spot and 3 being banned a week later or longer. The remaining 4 I do not know if they were banned, BUT…. I am sure it caught up to them some way or another. Half of these cheaters talk so much smack it is crazy and sad.

One cheater in particular was someone on my team whom which I vibed with and we both destroyed the other team. We joined for another game and then he told me he was cheating halfway through the match. Near the end of the match he was banned and I was in shock in what was actually happening. Like was that real or a fever dream?…

My account got hijacked and sold to some weirdo that wanted to cheat with skins. I wasn't playing Valo at the time and was taking a break, only reason I found out was that my friends told me they've been seeing my account online and playing valorant. I logged on to check and sure enough full match history of a green wall with 20+ kills a game. Couple days later account was perma banned. Obviously I can still play on an alt because I never cheated and am not hardware id banned. I messaged riot about it 2 consecutive years and it was denied both times. Just left a sour taste in my mouth so I stopped playing all together. Unlucky GG

The only time we got one of those red screens was really dumb. Because the hacker was on the other team and they were losing. So they reported their teammate to not lose rr. We knew who was cheating too, he was just so bad that even with the ability to see where we were he was getting killed by all of us.
