I have visited that beautiful region of Scotland often, Ledaig and Tobermory are made nearby. Duart Castle is just over the water on The Isle of Mull and is the ancestral home of the Clan Maclean. I've just opened my bottle of Maclean Nose and agree with your tasting notes, I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Ralfy has just made this dram his whisky of the year 2024, grab a bottle if you can.

Just purchased and now drinking. Very nice, nose is refreshing, a mix of citrus fruits and green apples, slight smoky too. Palate is viscous nutty, caramel toffee, lemon orange and apples, malty of course, then the smoky embers come into play. Finish is oily, salty, spicy, nutty and creamy. No water added. New dram in Hong Kong bought at HKD428 or GBP45. Recommended for sure.

The recipe of the casks sounds really good. I do like a well-made blended Scotch. Not many of them around, although Compass Box, North Star, and others are bottling some nice ones. Dobre zdrowie.
