Ma Dong-seok, a.k.a Don Lee, a.k.a Gilgamesh plays the rightful one in Korean Movie 'The Outlaws', whereas Yoon Kye-sang makes sure to cause some trouble.
About 'The Outlaws' 범죄도시 (2017):
The movie tells a story of a fearless detective Ma Seok-do (Ma Dong-seok) who hunts down Jang Chen (Yoon Kye-sang), a cold-blooded boss of Heuksapa, an uprising criminal organization that turned Seoul’s Chinatown into a blood bath. Ma Seok-do is an old school detective with bravado who has been protecting the peace of his city with his strong fists and bold spirit. Together with Jeon Il-man, Seok-do plans an ultimate crime sweep to take down Jang Chen’s gangs in one night.

Do we know any other film characters that are similar? When it comes to cop shows I tend to just watch really old police procedural stuff, but I could do with a proper "clean crooked" cop like Ma Dong-seok's, here, who knows how to navigate the local scene to focus on catching the big fish.

The Outlaws, The Gangster the cop the devil, unstoppable, the villagers, derailed. These are just some of his movies that I think will showcase how much variety his acting really has and also has some of those navigating around scenes you speak of! After watching The Outlaws I went and binged all of Ma Dong Seok's movies because something about his acting really stuck with me and I wasn't dissapointed!

Excellent actor. Its too bad the eternals script was not fleshed out given all the star power. It should have been a series not movie or atleast introduce one or 2 characters per movie.

Depends on the country I imagine. In the US it's still assault. Depends on the state though. Mutual combat is legal if both parties agree. Once you shake when you walk off charges are off the table.

Gilgamesh's bitch slap idea is definitely came from Ma Dong Seok's 2017 Korean blockbuster The Outlaw. But wait for The Outlaw 2 in 2022. Ma Dong Seok's talents is wasted in Eternals with so few scenes about him.

@Carol a small flop maybe. With $200 million budget and $402 million ticket sales when the pandemic still strong globally. Then The Outlaw 2: The Roundup came out less than a month ago in South Korea that already earned almost $80 million with 9+ million admissions in their 20th day so far. As usual Ma Dong-seok gave a satisfied beast mode in that movie, a contrast to what he can gives in Eternals.
