1982 Ford Fairmont formerly known as 'Fairmont 5' with a 5.3L stock bottom end LS with 230k miles making some 1/4 mile passes, going a best of 8.6 at 150 MPH!

Yep my s14 240sx with a vs480 stock 5.3, 228/230 cam and springs only, RMTB th400 went 8.7 at 159mph with an ok 1.37 sixty foot. E85,Bosch 210’s and twin walbro 450’s in tank. This is the recipe that plain works. Took it to do 1/8 mile testing and knocked anther 10th off my 1/8th down to 5.60. Didn’t want to cage it and parachute it so I swapped in a 2jzgte borg s366 with the same trans setup and went highs 9’s first time out and met my goal with that setup. Fun stuff.
