83) PDF/X-4 vs PDF 1.6

In this last lecture, we will look at making a pdf with RGB images, and making a pdf with CMYK images. PDF/X-4 is color managed, so will give the best color accuracy. But when your print house doesn't accept PDF X-4, you can convert to CMYK yourself, using PDF 1.6.

This course was a bit of an unexpected discovery and it turned out to be absolutely amazing. Thanks! I'll get the book next just to have it all in handy format. Was the book layout prepared in Scribus or InDesign? 😉

Thank you! I definitely did not know that about x-4. Question though: When exporting under x-4, how do the images turn out? Do they print too dark? I usually convert all my images myself to cmyk and place them in my layout program then export pdf as Acrobat 6 or 7, press quality. The images turn out excellent. Thank you again for ALL the Scribus videos, they are excellent. Look forward to see what you will be doing next 😊

Consulta: al guardar en pdf interactivo con la opción de "Exportar pdf-->Extras" existe la posibilidad de hacer transiciones entre las páginas. He consultado varios manuales pero no logro hacerlo. Como entiendo que sabes mucho de Scribus te consulto para ver si puedes ayudarme. Desde ya muchas gracia.

Hi Sajith, I am not a programmer. I believe you can use Python to write scripts in Scribus. hi sir, I am working in Kerala (Country-India) daily. We used PageMaker first and then InDesign. Later started using Scribus from 2019. Malayalam language is used. Your posts about Scribus are very helpful. Many unknown things can be learned. Thanks.
