I recently had a large stock pile to move. I was busy so asked dad to come and move it with 65Px. Dad is very old school, he learnt back in the 70's when dozers and scrapers did the line share of the work unlike today. Your methodology is how I would have done that job before dad showed me how to do it properly. He never climbed my stock pile. The dozer stayed pretty much level the whole time and he side cut his way into the pile to the extent that it was collapsing in and he was just pushing lose material. He did the job faster than I could finish my work in the excavator and he ended up helping me. The stock pile was similar in size to yours I guess and in less than an hour it was all pushed out and trimmed off. Dad has shown me several tricks with the dozer that has really opened up my approach to some jobs and exemplified how under utilized dozers are these days on site. With a good operator they are extremely efficient way to do a great deal of work. Unfortunately much of the true art of using a dozer has been lost and I am very lucky to be able to have dad now 72 come out and push some dirt for me from time to time. Plus it was great to see dad enjoying what he did all those years ago day in and day out. Back then he said if you got it wrong the boss would scream at you till you got it right. Imagine doing that with some of the snowflakes we have to deal with today. I have no interest in employing anyone, my oldest son is showing some promise but I just can't be bothered teaching someone else how to operate a machine.

And the fact that you refuse to teach anyone makes you an asshole that is killing the operating profession. Too worried about the money and workload that you can't make sure your operators know what they are doing and operate efficiently instead of pushing dirt where it doesn't need to be.

@@toast47624 Why are you knocking the pile back down? Why was it piled up there? You could make a scraper road over the top and walk off. 637'3 would have it gone without even a pusher. All you're doing is making slobbers everywhere.

The only problem with that method is that when the dirt sluffs it drowns the undercarriage.

video should have been longer. I would have liked to see the end results of, "moving a mountain."
@tallen45205 жыл бұрын
End result would have been slobbers everywhere they shouldn't be. If it rains overnight, he's fucked for a week. That was a perfect pile fr 637's, ater making a road over top.

And the point of this waste of my life is? It's like somebody's said to the driver, I used to do pointless things with dozers, gie's a go at being filmed.
