Looks good I did mine years ago it came with a bracket for the parking brake cable and also instead of jacking the body up I unbolted everything like you said chocked the wheels set up Jack stands took all the bolts out deflated the tires a little at a time put the blocks in and just inflate the tires about 10 pounds at a time.

The BEST way to do the parking brake cable is to have one made at a machine shop. It's not expensive at all. Then, install it along the frame as one normally would. This ensures that the cable doesn't get caught up and damaged by any foliage or moving components of the chassis/suspension. Trust me, you want a parking brake if you lose a U-joint on your rear driveshaft on an incline. Otherwise, neat truck.

nice. Just bought a 98 gmc z71 with a body lift on it . did you run into any power steering issues ? also does your fuel gauge read weird ? I go to fill up and the fuel gauge reads half but the tank is completely full.....nice tip on the shift lever cable getting tight, mines hard to engage so guessing I need to release the cable on driver side like you pointed out for more slack.

The parking brake reroutes over the top of the frame. There is a bracket that bolts to the body mount perch to extend up for the cable to be routed through. (You have to drill holes in the perch to mount the bracket)..., its all in the directions if you read them.

The extension for steering shaft did it come with the lift kit??or will it work with out Anny extension??

How did you jack the cab up without damaging it? I understand the bed would be a little easier

When you did your body lift. Did you need to move or assist anything for the transmission fluid dipstick tube ?

My question is if you have running boards that tie into your body mount bolts is that going to interfere with the pucks do they use the same body mount bolts

Was there steering play or did the truck swerve after you did the body lift to the point that it was unsafe?? If so, how did you fix it?

Did you cut your fan shroud? And also did it come with oil cooler drop brackets?

Did you have to cut the old bushings out to install these or do they just go on top the old body mounts?

Take a piece of angle iron cut and bolt it to frame and run e-brake cable and it should work

I bought a suspension connection 3" body lift. Waiting for it to be delivered. But the online instructions mention a bed stabilizer bracket that needs to be welded in. Your rough country kit have this??

Came across this video e brake cable needs the tension from being clipped in place to work just build a bracket to hold it in place and it should work jus fine

What size tires you have? I have a 1996 k1500, 6inch RC lift. I'm about to do a 3 inch body lift like yourself. I have 37x13.5x15 Boggers. I'm looking to put new tires on it and thinking 37 Toyos. But I'm also thinking 35s. Yours looks great and seeing if u have 37s or 35s. I just dont want to 35s to look too small! Florida boy here so you know how we do!
