Asuka knew that if he had to fight Sol head-on, he'd get his shit kicked-in six ways from Sunday. That's why he had to sort-of ambush him and take away all of his powers. So yes, this is abSOLutely lore-accurate.

Overture makes it pretty clear that Asuka is several orders of magnitude more powerful than Sol. The playable Asuka appears to be a "fake" of some sort, but it's unclear what that means.

@@loonybin3751 He made a clone so he could fight himself at full effort level because he knew if he was to fight the only other top level mage, happy chaos, happy would be too focused on having fun and using his gun to give him a proper wizard duel. After that I guess he decided to also go tell that clone to fight other people, just to see what would happen?

The only contender for a higher damage combo this would be may on chipp like 10 patches ago when they nerfed dolphin but accidentally reduced its walldamage temporarily increasing her potential output. positive bonus 100 risc yamada on a chipp mid projectile as the starter so that he smacks her out of recovery but both copies get hit by whale. Even then I'm not sure that would even be more if you optimized from there

yes, I've tried combos with may and goldlewis, but they don't do as much damage as sol, so far he has the most damaging combo in strive

Fun fact: When you pause the game, their health resets but the combo damage doesn't. So you can get the number even higher by repeatedly pausing mid-combo to reset guts scaling.
