The best thing that helped me with all mages especially tiamat is just playing your healthbar and life, id rather have less deaths and less dmg, try to literally just die less and not do damage and the damage will come later!

If I recall, the eat doesn't heal you in ground stance. Tia heals from any nearby minion that dies while in flight stance. If you eat ground minions, you get scales. Ground minions will give a bigger heal than lane minions if they die while you're in flight though.

Tiamat w tablet and breastplate and pridwen is funnn. If you go kinda bruiser with some defense you can just do whatever you want in team fights with 40%cd
