The much-awaited part 2 of the Mirko-Wolf podcast. This time, we talk about the PH-Indo rivalry, the post-mortem of M5, and most importantly, all the things Mirko likes outside of Esports (NewJeans, basically). This was a very fun podcast, and in here, we'll get to know more about the Vivamax Prime, ‪@MirkoCasts‬.
P.S. It's funny because MLBB revealed Mid Season Cup today and we were talking about it in this podcast (which was recorded Dec 22, 2023).

Karltzy is the goat. Karltzy is him, he dominates games. Pheww is just a valuable consistent player. Him and kairi is a tier above every jungler on a completely different level. While, pheww - nobody thinks he is The godly midlane. He has the accolades but not the dominance of Karltzy. No MVP’s either.

The only problem with single elimination is that it will always be advantageous for MPL Indo because they always finish their tournaments first. They would have the advantage of of longer preparation for the major tourneys as well as get to review the other regions on the fly because other local tournaments are ongoing. MPL Ph is already always at a disadvantage and exposed because it usually finishes with only a few weeks before the majors. The only chance PH can make adjustments is when they were sent to lower brackets. Make all MPL tournaments start and end at the same schedule then single elimination is fair game.

@@joseeleazarrivera7294that's one of the reasons. The other was the scheduled National events like Sea Games and IESF. MPL ID started their season in spite of the events and just postponed a week to give way for the events, MPL PH did not do that and just waited till the event was over before they start their season.

That's why I appreciate Mirko. Of course you'd expect him to lean towards Indonesian teams, but when a country beats them.. basically the Philippines over and over again, he'll acknowledge the loss and even say "The PH is the most dominant MLBB region". He speaks the truth and says facts. There's no delusional "ID is still better because x and y". If the team lost, the opposition was better. That's how it works and that's how it'll always work.

There won't be a great team without a great competitor. ONIC Indonesia is definitely worthy of raising that M5 trophy as much as APBren. It's just unfortunate that only 1 team can claim it but performance wise ONIC is also deserving! It makes the game even more exciting when teams have similar levels of strength in competitions. Another great podcast!

I was there (@ RMC) during the Grand Finals Match. It was an amazing night and experienced for someone like me who is a 1st timer in live tournament. And 🇵🇭 won the M5 title..I won't forget that moment. Too bad we wasn't able to take pictures with you guys, our energy were drained cheering until game 7 and we were all hungry coz we didn't have dinner also. 😂 But it was so great seeing the casters, talents, coaches and players in flesh. 🫶 Looking forward to more MLBB International tournaments here in our home soil 🇵🇭🫶

I think since an Indo team won in MSC (not sure if 2019 or 2023). Everybody was expecting Ph team to win, but they lost in the grand finals. Indo wasn't bragging about it then, but that win gave them the courage to say Ph Era is over and Indo is now the kings on the main stage. It's still kinda funny tho how Indonesians can't say anything when Filipinos talk about how can it be Indo supremacy when they hire Filipino players and coaches that carries their team.

Tbh Wolf, you were one of my least preferred casters years ago. Like what you akcnowledged on one of your podcast, you recognized how people say you were boring. But hey congrats man for improving year after year! And the way you casters from different regions have this chemistry and friendship created, made every tournaments more interesting. Caster's deck aint a dull or dead moment anymore. You, Laphel, Mirko, Gideon and Leo have the most chemistry and funny interactions. Congrats and keep it up!

I always say karltzy is the goat of mlbb before. But now i'm convinced it's pheww. He has the most titles, wolf was right, no issues, no nothing, always have been matured, always been consistent-never stopped competing, and just because he does not use flashy heroes in the most recent games and has few highlights, doesn't mean he is not good. Don't forget he is the IGL/captain. He is doing 3 roles in his team. The captain, the mid-laner, and the eldest 'brother' of the team. When i really think about all of it, it really makes sense to believe that pheww is the goat. Btw, he was actually good with assassins in the early seasons of MPL. Well, as long as karl and phew keeps on playing and not retire, this argument is not yet over. :)

Now i think the body conditioning of APBREN (Gym) and all that also contributes to their prolong energy during long exhausting game, its not all about strategy, some may see it as a non factor, but since their body are condition as much as their mind it also contribute a lot to their performance, look at Onic after the game or even during breaks they are super exhausted, mentally and physically drained.

This is where there is a misconception about lower brackets being easier since you have an extra life.. it is actually harder. Also Mirko saying that learning should happen in your home league - maybe he means group brackets idk but this is also incorrect. The beauty of having a lower bracket is it gives you the chance to adapt to each teams. During the group stage you wont have the chance to be matched w other teams due to bracketing. Having a lower bracket enables you to learn snd adjust thus making the winner of the whole tournament really deserving and not winning due to luck. Ie.some cheese or shocking turnout. This is why a lot of teams from the lower bracket is winning the whole thing, because those teams adapted and not win due to luck.

nope. Only the 1st and 2nd in Indo and the top 6 PH teams are rivals, having the potential to be rivals yeah,. like Lil Gun, Triple Esports, Deus Vult, and Fireflux, but for other teams and regions I don't think so, like Malaysians, They're getting bad every year
