After three (or four) weeks of MPL PH Season 13, ONIC Philippines were steamrolling. One player that caught my eye was Escalera, especially because of his improvements. Had the chance to interview Escalera, and in this episode of the 8G Thoughts, we dive deep into what happened with ONIC Philippines, Escalera's rise, their secret to winning, and many many more.

Escalera makes a valid point about becoming complacent when at the top. When looking back at ONIC's performance over the past few seasons, it is evident that they consistently lead at the midway point but tend to decline afterwards. Perhaps that was due to complacency. It is possible that the team's fate will be different now with a new lineup.

I think it's better to have subtitles sir because it breaks the flow of the conversation. Watching this takes you out with really engaging with the comversation.

Gigil : hunger or obsession is probably the closest translation while tolongges would be absent mindedness or something. Would love to see balete duo podcast to guest mlbb players, duo or rival or group interview not just solo to make it a little different.

Parang mahina yung volume? Dati kasi mga 10 lang yung volume ko sa PC kapag nakikinig ng podcast okay na yung audio. Dito kasi hanggang 40-50 yung volume ko sa PC para marinig ng maganda. Kung itutuloy yung ganitong format ng video, siguro i-pause yung video then translate? Kasi kapag sabay sabay ang hirap intindihin kapag di mo pinapanood yung video. :)

For Filipino viewers, this kind of format might seem a bit dragging. Especially pausing every after statement. I think, another option would make a summarizer/explainer at the end, where it's full english, discussing what has been mentioned in the interview. That way, the video would not be dragging,

My suggestion for wolf is to lessen the introduction, be on point with questions, remove unnecessary parts of the interview or out of topic discussion. Use Rev for translation. You only need to upload the video and you get the results immediately. The intro is becoming boring, it is always more than 5 mins. An intro should be within 1 min, it must have a catchy "hook".

Hi wolf you can just summarise the important things he said after the interview or you can just cut after 3-5 questions if they're related. You can reach international viewers but you might lose your Filipino listener.

Please upload the original video since this format is somewhat distracting for me. I always like listening to your podcast while working but this one is not good for me since they are talking and at the same time you are translating. I still appreciate this because it will cater other viewers who can't understand Tagalog. Thank you.

Sana wag nalang itranslate from tagalog to English. Nawawala yung essence ng interview. I know you have a lot of viewers from the other country but it’s confusing while listening to the interview
