Nice looking truck, but that bouncy bed. Yikes! I would also like to have seen it run at the same size as the Knightrunner. Even if they didn't sell a ton of trucks, they would probably sell a buttload of grilles, light buckets, and tailgate latches!

Good looking, good place to start, good features, and a great price for everything! I will be looking into one of these soon. The bouncy bed should be an easy fix. I have a few crawlers and have been thinking about getting a trail truck. There's a few things that I would upgrade, but run it stock for a while. Maybe until the axles break. If you open the receiver box, there is closed cell foam inside against the wires where they enter the box, to seal the hole. I wouldn't submerge it in water for long, but it seems to work fine for typical stream crossings.

Programable ESC with program box is a nice touch. Floppy bed looks weird, but if you install the bumpers that would probably fix that. Wipers can be had, but it would have been nice if they had included them. I like that the body is true 1/10 scale, I wish other manufacturers would do the same ( in the real world most smaller truck's tires stick out a little). The chassis twist looks a little odd, but I think it may actually help get over obstacles.

I'd like to see a further build on this truck. Maybe take off the droopy bed and add a Honcho style rear cage. I wonder if the honcho cage would fit this truck. Switch the always on backup lights to be front fog lights. Add functioning backup lights. Install a better transmitter and Receiver combo that looks less toy like and has more features. Are there metal axles that would work with this truck?

Yes Yes Yes. I believe Carisma is a Korean company. I have the Coyote 2.1 which is the same exact chassis & I got mine with the esc 2 with controller just like what you have. I took it out & first time the driveshaft end pin & spring popped off within 30 min. & the driveshaft was dragging & only had front wheel drive. I contacted Carisma the same day & my new crawler sat for about a month before they sent me the parts. I looked myself & didn’t find any in stock anywhere so yes parts are not always available. Turns out Carisma knows this is a issue & said people where putting shrink wrap on that area so it doesn’t pop off. I used a little hot glue & seems to be working. I didn’t have very kind words for them at that point. But I put the stock wheels off my Sendero on it & im telling you it changed the performance like you wouldn’t believe. I’ve been running it for awhile now & it’s performance is amazing at that price & it’ll out perform some of my more expensive crawlers. I’m now a fan based on performance with some mods & have the stock electronics still in it. If I do get this RC it’ll be my second Carisma crawler & I’ll look at getting some bigger metal bead locks with that same type & look wheel. I’ve seen many that look very similar. Once you do that it’s on. Get the extra pin & spring kit now other then that nothing but smiles.

Always been curious of a Carisma rig and this video definitely caught my eye. Has some nice features being licensed, decently priced, having TRD wheels, and working lights. But that bed bouncing, really cheap radio system, average at most tires, non water proof receiver box, plastic steering arm and a few other issues makes me pass on this truck. Some issues are bigger than others but they all add up. Nice looking rig but not for me. Look forward to seeing the crazy builds other people do with this truck though

How did you change yours to liPo? I can’t figure out how to use the mpg1 card. This is my first Rc and I’m struggling over here, could use some help!

I don’t have this model any longer, but isn’t it a dip switch on the ESC?

Looking at one of these instead of the Traxxas high trail, because F Traxxas. Would you go with one of these or an SCX-10 ? Redcat?

I'd still recommend the Traxxas High Trail, or SCX10III. After that, the latest Element truck would be my choice.

How small is the tailgate latch vs. the latch sticker on the Knightrunner? If it's close enough, I'll likely buy one to replace the cheesy sticker on my Knightrunner.

The Knightrunner is substantially larger so it might look a little small.
