I do not know I would feel if I was at end of that combo, at where I grew up you would have gotten a huge slap because that is not fair neither a real combo.

coldest take in existence, there hasnt been a fighting game to surpass kof13 in looks in general. even skullgirls which uses 2D hand drawn animation isnt as ridiculously smooth with their animation.

kind of, high level tournaments always have all ex characters, kim, chin and beni, not that other characters are trash, they just aren't as good as the ones i mentioned above

Hm yeah it's a 3v3 fighter, but in high level tournaments You'd still see a lot of the same characters. I the beginning almost every team had Raiden, on consoles it felt like every team had either Mr Karate or EX Iori.

Not really. I love the game, but EX Iori, Mr. Karate, EX Kyo, and Benimaru are just better than the rest of the cast. Occasionally you'd see Chin, Yuri, Athena, Ash, Kim, Duo or Shen but you never see a lot of the cast.

The same reason people dont play kof, they buy cuz it looks amazing and the combos look cool as hell. then they play it its too hard and they never touch it again this keeps happening

Most characters chain their buttons into special moves. For example, regular Kyo does crouching LK, crouching LP, down-forward+heavy kick, then you cancel that into a special. Most characters follow similar logic, unless the character doesn't have a command normal like Raiden or Mature. Regarding the cancels, you see the green meter above the orange meter? That's the drive gauge. When it's at 50%, you get the ability to cancel one special into another one. For example, with Terry: light burn knuckle into light crack shoot. If you have 100%, you can do two of them. If you have 100%, you can enter a state called Hyper Drive, which lets you do as many special cancels as you can/want as long as the state is active. Even if you have 1% left, you can cancel a special into a big level 3 attack called a NeoMax. I don't know if I did a good job explaining, but oh well. Hope this helped.

It looks like one of the best fighting games made and it's so beloved. So I've wanted to see what makes it so liked. @@PiccoloNamexio well considering that I was about to get into KOF because of this "godlike animation" I wont be playing XV or XIV so......I will keep complaining till i get the artstyle I like. Just because a company bought KoF and changed the artstyle doesnt make it better or even more popular.

@@Kanzuki why? for the same reason; we have day 1 on disc dlc, that training mode in fighting games are utter trash (its as if every Capcom release is their first fighting game ever), the graphics in mvc infinite looked like ass, same reason KOF XIV and XV look like trash (really the artstyle was a big part of the draw to KOF for me, that and 3v3) Its all about money obviously. In the past the people with money allowed the people with passion to do their thing and it worked well we got games that we consider gems. Now the struggle is to monetize every little scrap they can and ruin the game in the process. So essentially were getting like 70% less gem quality games in exchange for 70% more meh games filled with DLC. KOF XIV and XV both look like meh games to me. I am an adult now and can buy any game I please. The last thing I am going to do with my limited time and money is waste it on a meh experience.

You also end up giving your opponent full meter and drive because of the fact that, in order to deal 80+% damage with one combo, Ash has to extend combos for an extremely long time at the combo scaling minimum, which gives you a terrible ratio of damage dealt to meter and drive given to your opponent. I really think pro players should stay away from his double-Sans-Culotte kill combos and do smaller, single-Sans-Culotte combos ended in Germinal and then go for high-risk-high-reward offensive while their opponents' ability to punish unsafe stuff or do anything is compromised by their moves being sealed. Stuff with putting the kiss-flame behind the opponent and pushing them into it to extend blockstrings and combos as part of okizeme probably should have been investigated, too. You have enough time to do it off of a normal throw and certain other situations.

Imo. Lacid alongside Mr.Kof was the one who knew how to play Ash
