Thank you Rosa for this beautiful journal. I purchased the pdf cutting guides. This video was very easy to follow on how to put it together. I made it over the long weekend. Total time taken: 5 days! Day 1 & 2: Getting prepared, cutting all the pieces, made the base cover. Day 3: Construct the two sides. Glue it all. Day 4: Decorating the book. Using my chosen DSP. Day 5: Blinging it up!

I'm horrible at cutting the decorative paper to decorate the albums. Forgive if you've done this before but would you kindly do a tutorial on how to correctly measure the decorative paper? Ugh. I'm the worst. :( Love love your books! Thank you for sharing your talent! ❤

Damaris: I have horrible math skills but learned to make albums from Rosa and all her incredible, interactive tutorials. May may at may may made it also has poor math skills. She has a tutorial called making sense of layers! I should have filmed this years ago! It’s dated Feb 4,2023. This is about card making but is the same thing you need only on a smaller scale . The principal is the same. Her basics are great for people like us!! The craft community is awesome. Just keep looking until you find a creator that teaches the way YOU learn because we all learn different. Hope you find it helpful. Have a great day.

Hi Damaris!! You will need to reduce the paper by 1/4” on each side. For example a page that is 7”x8” will be cut at 6 3/4”x 7 3/4”. I can definitely do a video adding paper the easy way ❤ Big hugs!!

@kandy7581 Hiya! Thank you so much! Yes, Rosa inspired me to craft again. I'm a scrapbooker. But I never seem to finish an album. Ever. With Rosa, I feel so accomplished even though my poor books are blank. Lol! And yes. The crafty community is pretty amazing! Girl, measuring for me is a nightmare lol I just learned how to use my cutter. You would've thought I discovered a cure for the common cold when I figured out what 1/8 was lol Its all fun and games!

Damaris Girl I’m also left handed!! I have been known to put paper in and turn cutter upside down to recheck measurements. The same site I told you to check out has 3 videos on rulers and measuring. I downloaded and enlarged a ruler picture and have to check it and Still count the lines. I believe Rosa is an engineer of some sort so it comes quick and easy for her .( I’m so jealous) lol I am always in awe at how quick she whips out her incredible creations and then cuts to decorate. What an inspiration she is !!

Rosa, I have a question. I'm new at this but watching along and doing your tutorials really help with my mental health. My question is dumb but after I make my book I always have a hard time getting measurements right when I cut my pretty paper. Is there a way you can tell me how you do it

When you refer to heavy weight and light weight card stock? What weights are you actually using?

I think in this video she says the light weight card is 65lb. I haven't heard her say the weight of the heavy weight card.

Everyone has to make a living somehow. If you were to take a class to make something like this, it would cost a heck of a lot more than $5. And then if you had to buy your own supplies on top of it? Even more expensive for a class type learning environment. I find it invaluable that she is willing to pretty much do the entire tutorial and give the measurements verbally. It must mean she is kind and likes to help others create. Darn $5.00! I am very thankful she is willing to share as much knowledge as she does with us! Something that is upsetting as an artist is people thinking that something that somebody else put their time and effort into should be cheaper because it is handmade. That isn't the case.
