They both do. To Claudette, a "team" means the rescue or call runs smoothly, and she's a control freak who can do it so well. To May, Claudette had no sense of professionalism towards her due to her youth and nothing May did built any respect from Claudette.

It's like Nancy from Lone Star quoting her fallen partner used to say, you know I don't remember the exact quote but to paraphrase to just 911 the firefighters are ‘the cool kids’ the dispatchers are nerds they don't hang out again paraphrasing I don't actually think that.

I would understand better if May was making mistakes at every turn but this time I believe is completely different I don't get why she doesn't understand that she should have never done that. What did she actually know about May's call that made her feel the need to take the ambulance in that way?

That sweetie wasn’t a caring/nice sweetie, it was an insulting/condescending one. Claudette was a horrible jealous woman when she kept on sabotaging May and her work. The woman was a complete bitch and I am glad she is gone

Very unprofessional and condescending. Just because Claudette is a veteran dispatcher doesn't mean it's okay for her to talk to her co-workers like that.

Not really. Claudette was transferred since Maddi resigned at the end of Season 4, and she rarely makes any bad calls. Between them, nothing May did generated any respect from Claudette, who was a Mom and probably viewed May as one of her own kids too close to something traumatic. May even listed her time at 9-1-1 and tried to build respect in the early epsidoes, and CLaudette's response was "Appology accepted." She's so good at her job she never questions anything and just wants to see a successful rescue. Something she pursues in a horrible way and lets her attitude spill over into her job. From her meltdown in the fire at the end of this episode, Claudette was so good since she was addicted to success and could hide emotional scars and trauma. It's pretty telling from how she fell apart during one dead-end call during the Hospital fire in this season, entirely from a simple mistake the caller made (telling the wrong room #). Later, when she learned the caller was alive, her response was "you figured that out?" not thankfulness that the kids were alive.

that's pretty harsh. 9-1-1 is a drama show, so she was written to be a source of drama, and Claudette was the first character to be pretty hostile on the show. In Hen's backstory, an old fire captain of the 118 was the same way, both sexist and racist towards her and Chimney. Claudette be a recurring character and it was easy to hate her since the audience only had a 1-dimensional perspective of her. She was heavily traumatized in a fire and had the same attitude with a sense of respect towards Josh and the other dispatchers. Yet she was also a mother and very good at the job, building her ego and hiding the scars on her back. I don't see her as a misfire, but somebody the audience was meant to see as a "villain" since we all wished to see her take a bit of humble pie. People like Claudette are in almost any workplace in the world, and it makes her somebody fun to dislike.

But there was one flaw; she should have told may so that she would know, or at least ask before.

Claudatte might have been right in enrouting May's ambulance to high priority case, without telling her, but her way of explaining was demeaning, obnoxious. and calling her sweety is too much unprofessional. this being high stress job, May's reaction was justified, as suddenly she didn't saw her ambulance going to the caller.

Same, each time she's disrespectful with May, I want to make her eating her hair
