If you watch the beginning of this scene out of context, it totally feels like Buck’s waiting for his hubby to come home and already put the kid to sleep. Such an adorable family dynamic

I've heard a lot about Fox wanting to show us a geniune friendship, and I think they have done quite a remarkable job with Hen and Chimney. Buck and Eddie's relationship feel diferent.

I'm honestly still hoping for buddie to sail. The reasons why i still hope: 1. I already played a scenario in my head that this thing with Ana will make Buck realize his feelings for Eddie. 2. Christopher already treats Buck as his second dad. Buck is the person he ran to when he became upset. 3. Both Chris and Buck are afraid of losing someone in their life. I know it Buck didn't mean it specifically towards Eddie and he meant about his experiences of people leaving him but maybe in some way he also meant Eddie because if he does start dating Ana seriously it meant that Eddie would have less time to spend with them and it also meant that Buck would need to step out of the picture for a while to give them space to adjust with Ana being a new part of Christopher's life. 4. We thought Buck would get together with Taylor but he didn't and obviously they silently agreed to be friends. Buck has a girl friend not a girlfriend. Which is so new because Buck never had a girl who is just a friend before. Hen and Athena don't count because their both married and more of a big sister/mother to Buck. Means things are really changing for Buck. 5. They created a new bromance for Buck with Albert. Maybe it's a hint that we would be losing the buddie bromance soon to give way for the actual buddie romance 6. There's still the therapist, i know that the show revealed Buck talked about his parents, buck1.0, etc to his therapist but who's to say that isn't the only thing they've talked about. 7. I'm still not over that TK gaydar. 8. There had SO MANY. MANY. HINTS. 9. I mean i get it fox you want to show a genuine friendship. But it's gone overboard. Bigtime. To the point we don't see it a friendship anymore. And I was honestly onboard with the whole friendship thing at first but COME ON. It would've been fine if it was the same level Chim/Hen or Athena/Hen or Bobby/Michael friendship but it is not. At some point Buck and Eddie went past breaking point. (this is unrelated but i just realized that i used the title of the episode in this line and I'm just having a laugh right now xD) 10. I will never stop being a buddie fan. And I'm not saying that I dislike Ana and it's quite the opposite, she's a really great person. She'd be a great mom to Christopher. And if the show decides to run with it then there's nothing we could do and we'll just learn to accept it but that doesn't mean we will suddenly stop being buddie fans 😍. By the end of the day, it's just a show and it's kinda sad but true 🙂 And if you actually read this whole rant, Congratulations🎉🎉🎉

This scene of both of them together is now very rare in between. Disappointed since they have very good chemistry. I think the series is either splitting them or preparing for a bigger drama ahead.

I think that possibly exploring a polyamorous or open relationship between Ana, Eddie, and Buck could be super interesting. Topics like that would be very informative to watch (if portrayed correctly), and would help more minority groups feel appreciated and represented. Although Fox would most likely not consider or showcase a healthy open or polyamorous relationship it is fun to fantasize about.
