On September 11, 2001, Michael Clark - a New York City firefighter assigned to Ladder 2 - bravely ran into tower 2 to help protect his fellow New Yorkers. His brother Jimmy will never forget that day, or his little brother’s selfless sacrifice. This is their story.

I am so sorry for your loss 💔 Your brother, A True Hero! Among so many others. I was standing in line that day to sign in my son at the doctors office in Lafayette LA, (I live in Tallahassee now), I heard racket on the TV, the office is packet!!! I turn around, so does my 8 yr old son & everyone else in line, we look at the TV, and gasp for breath... another mom and I say to each other - "oh gosh, shouldn't they be playing the news or cartoons, instead of this aweful movie?!" Another person in line says, "I think that's real", we both look again at the TV, turn back to tell him, "ur crazy, they're is no way that would happen! It's surely a movie!" Another person in line said, " no my friend just texted me and told me to turn on the news" We all looked back at the TV, then the second tower was hit.... The whole room was in shambles! We all saw it, and then we all believed. Except me. I just kept staring and thinking, that's not possible, not here, there's people in there.... How could that happen... The doctors and staff couldn't figure out what was happening in the waiting room, so several came out to "get things under control"... And they realized what was happening.... I think about a third of the place left on their phones very quickly, probly another third stayed for their appointment crying calling loved ones, and the rest of us stayed for our appointment in shock... (Honestly... I think I stayed, it became such a blur after watching it all on the news, I'm not too sure. I know we went straight home & didn't leave after that) I remember signing in, and I remember walking thru the door at home... That's it. I listened & watched all day, called my family later.... But it was unbearable to grasp.... For me, it took days for the shock to wear off & for reality set in. 🌟The Whole Country Was One! 🌟 If only... Everyone would, NEVER FORGET!!

Been 20 years today, I didn’t know anyone lost that day or their families but my heart breaks for them still. I live thousands of miles away and this changed my life, I spent 8 years army infantry and three tours and thought of this day many times. Rip to all and my admiration for all who came together in that time.

Watching this I did nothing but cry! I also was in NYC on 911 and was 2 blocks away a the 1st plane hit. I never thought I would see a 2nd plane hit the other tower. After the 2nd plane hit we all knew what was happening! Sometimes I can still hear certain thumps reminding me of the people who decided to jump. I still struggle with the emotional side of it all. After all I was only there on vacation and not expecting this as nobody was. I was lucky I got on a boat back to Jersey City where I was staying with a friend. But even today in 2019 I still cry just watching videos of 911. What really surprises me is the 1 person who disliked this video! What kind of person are you to do that? You must be 1 dark heart SOB! God Bless America and all those that lost someone or had to witness this terrible day first hand!

Today, on the 20th Anniversary of this cowardly, despicable attack, I'm still filled with the same sadness & anger I've felt on a daily basis since 9/11. GOD bless every single victim of 9/11 past and present. May GOD pity those 5 who gave a "thumbs down" !

So deeply sorry for your loss. Your loss touched me deeply; as so many lost their lives on that fateful day. Your brother Michael is with you always. Although it will be 20 years on 9/11, it seems like yesterday. I shall never forget all who died and the firemen and first responders who lost their lives helping others to live.

Such a beautiful, loving tribute. Thank you for sharing this, Sir. My husband is one of a family of New York State law enforcement - himself, both brothers, brother-in-law, father, grandfather. I am very proud of, and grateful for their service, and know the feeling of brotherhood they feel for the grief of the NYFD family. My many, heartfelt thanks for the ultimate service your brother gave for his department, city, state, and nation.

Kindness is not our weakness, instead it inspires us, helps us grow, and makes us strong. We help one other and we can not let fear divide us. That's what the terrorists want! They want us to be afraid when we fight for freedom and justice for all.

The man is fully right it is sad that is takes such a huge tragedy for people to be human to one another and put aside petty differences.

I pray we don’t need another tragedy to make us all treat each other like human beings but it feels like that could be in the cards for us.

Never forget this day. I lost a relative who was working that day. I remember I was in high school watching this unfold on t.v. and went to an Army recruiter I wanted to join but due to medical history I didn't qualify but I still tried to get in and did everything I could to get in. In the end I couldn't get in the military, I tried for Army, National gaurd, reserves, Navy, Marines, Coast Gaurd, even Air Force over the course of 3 years.
