The red wire goes to your back light, so it’ll tell the units automatically switch to the rearview camera when you put it in reverse

⁠@@ranjitshrestha2605i think the camera is always on and recording all the time, its just that it shows up on the screen when you manually select it or put the car in reverse.

@@ranjitshrestha2605 sorry for the late reply. Yes the camera is constantly recording DVR one and DVR two. When you apply a positive source of the red wire automatically switches to the back up camera with the lines for backing up. I actually have this unit installed on my Africa twin motorcycle.I get front and rear DVR cams. I’m not utilizing the red wire because I don’t need a back up camera.

I just bought this off TikTok. I’m guessing it’s a more updated version. The DC Plug has a USB port on it so that’s pretty convenient. It definitely brought my 2000 GMC into the modern era. And I paid 80 bucks for it.

Thank you for the walkthrough. I like the quality of the visuals on the screen and how easily it seems to connect. Quick question: Do you know how high the screen is above the base, meaning the gap between the bottom point of the screen from base? The reason I ask is my 2015 C300 Mercedes has a fixed screen where the top end of it is about 4 inches above the dash. If I have to place it on my dash, I may lose visibility of a part of the Apple CarPlay screen.

What a great video with great information. Ì now have two volvo's and as you may know Volvo doesn't really do after market parts when it comes to electronical parts. But this I am definitely interested in.. thanks from across the pond 🇬🇧UK keep up the great work👍🏿Edited I've Just had a thought the only problem I see is theft. 😳 it's a shame it couldn't be installed down in the console

Can I use the factory bluetooth of my car while using google maps on the unit through wifi? If so can I change songs through spotify on android auto while the audio is connected to the bluetooth of the car? I ask because audio quality is important for me. Thanks

I installed this on my golf cart and everything is working great, my only issue is that the audio from my phone is going straight to my bluetooth speaker so I dont have any volume control from this unit. I thought I would be able to BT out from this unit to my speaker, but when I go to the BT transmit screen it tells me to connect my phone directly to the speaker. It does not even give me a list of device to choose my bluetooth speaker.

your father should have went through his insurance and had them subrogate. same happened to me 10 years ago. guy in front of me backed up in the middle of the rode because he missed his turn. his insurance took his side but i did a claim with mine and we fought it. got my money back!

I need a flatter cigarette lighter power adapter because this original is to bulky for my lid to close. You think an adapter with usb-c (30-45watt) PD Output from amazon will work to deliver power to it?

just look at the power adapter output, it should be something like 5V 3A.

The wire for the reverse camera is just to trigger the screen to show the feed from that camera when your reverse lights come on.

Good review, thanks. I’m consider getting this for my 2013 Mazda CX-5. I am able to connect my phone to the car via Bluetooth for Spotify and phone calls. I’m a bit confused about this product. Will I be able to connect my android phone to it and connect the device to my car via Bluetooth so Spotify will play through the car speakers?

Just plug the reverse camera in and you are good to go. Only wire in the red to reverse light if you want it to auto trigger reverse light when you go into R

Have you been able to, or tried to update the firmware with instructions and google drive links provided by the company for users with iPhones using iOS 17+ which disabled mirroring/ airplay?

Just picked up one of these, excited to install but noticed that the rear cam is powered by the main unit, it has a trigger wire but no ground - is this at risk of shorting out the reverse light?

It should work. Not sure on the fm radio signal though if you will have bad connection if you do use audio that way

Ive seen that this has a FM transmitter for cars that dont have aux or Bluetooth, i have a 05 explorer so i dont have either so the fm transmitter will be perfect but ive heard its not the best option to use in other words poor quality. Can anyone confirm that?
